Hogwarts invites you to The Haunted Masquerade! The great hall has been transformed into a haunted graveyard complete with enchanted fog that gets so thick no one can see through it and eventually dissipates, a band of skeletons enchanted to perform spooky halloween music all night, and of course, ghosts and ghouls to come out and give everyone a fright! Guests will dance the night away around replicas of the graves of famous witches and wizards. Even the entrance to Hogwarts has been transfigured so guests feel as if they are walking into the graveyard instead of the grand castle.
Along with dancing, the oppressive fog and musical skeletons, there is also a kooky witch named Gypsy offering mysterious potions to the guests. DISCLAIMER 1: none of these potions are harmful but the effects are up to the RPers. DISCLAIMER 2: Gypsy is an NPC so everyone is free utilize her for threads.
The event takes place IC Oct 31st but will run for the rest of August and duration of September following that, all masquerade threads will be moved to the past thread board and the ballroom will be closed.

Ball Royalty (Pumpkin King & Queen) - In order to be crowned the King or Queen of the Haunted Masquerade, members have from the day the ball opened (Aug 26) until Sept 16 to post. All posts within that time frame will be counted and the male and female who make the most posts will be the winner.
This thread will also serve as The Red Carpet where you can post pictures of your character's outfits and show off who they are attending with or if they are braving the graveyard alone!
