FAMILY MEMBERS. | Him-Chan Pham - Father (deceased) Ma-Ri Pham - Mother (deceased) Chan-Yeol Pham - Uncle (current guardian) Mi-Reu Pham - Twin Brother (17) |
CHILDHOOD. | Seo-Yeon Pham was born on 24 December 2001 in Vietnam, a few minutes before her twin brother, Mi-Reu Pham. She was a quiet baby, never really crying for anything and in that respect, her brother was very similar to her. The twins lived a happy life with their parents for three months before dark wizards killed them, leaving the young babies to live with their uncle in England. Seo-Yeon grew up with the thought that love was a rare sight in this world. Their uncle was so often too busy to stay home and take care of them, so it was mostly the house elves that kept them company through the day.
The eldest twin took it upon herself to take on the responsibility of being the more mature one at a young age. She wanted to be able to be there for her brother if he ever needed support, but she also knew that she couldn’t put herself aside for other people. It wasn’t that she was a cold person, but she knew her boundaries and Seo-Yeon wasn’t going to overstep them to make other people more comfortable. The girl had taken notice that she was different from her brother, she didn’t have the same genes he had that made him a metamorphmagus, then again, she didn’t even understand what that was until her uncle started to teach Mi-Reu how to control it. For a while, she would longingly stare at them trying to train to keep his hair one color, but she accepted her fate was not to be exactly like her brother. Still, that pit of jealousy was bubbling within her even if she hid it well around other people.
It took a while for her to get over her jealousy, and Seo-Yeon got into dying her hair different colors to be different. It first started with the tips to see if she really liked having different colored hair, and then it shifted to add more until it was half dyed. Finally, when she received her letter to attend Hogwarts, Seo-Yeon decided to completely dye all her hair a different color. It was the muggle means of doing things, but she didn’t have a choice until she learned the magic spell or potion that could alter someone’s hair without all these chemicals.

YEAR 01. | Seo-Yeon had grown so close to her twin brother, she thought they might actually end up being placed in the same house when they were accepted into Hogwarts. Instead, the girl watched her eleven year old brother walk to the Gryffindor table, as she waited for her house to be announced. Were they so different they belonged in different houses? She got up from the stool and walked towards the Hufflepuff table, never looking away from her brother. This was going to be interesting. Seo-Yeon wasn’t used to not having her brother around most of the time, this change was going to be difficult to adjust to but thankfully they would still be able to see each other in classes. The rest of the year was calm, normal like anyone would expect someone’s first year to be like. She wasn’t the most social person, but she got around to talk with some of the other students. It was a weird change to be surrounded by people when she was so used to being around house elves since her uncle was never really around.
YEAR 02. | There wasn’t much difference in her second year at school. Seo-Yeon was still close with her brother, but now instead of using all those chemical products in her hair, magic had become her best friend. It worked better because it wouldn’t rinse out the color all the time, she just had to cast a spell and she was set for however long she wanted to have that certain color. Of course, she’d change it back to its original color over the summer, but when she was back in school it was colorful fun all around. The girl was getting more comfortable with her peers and slowly allowing herself to make friends with the acquaintances she’d met the term before. It was a nice change compared to the lonely nights she spent in the common room without people to talk to, but she still wasn’t a social butterfly like some other people in the school. Another uneventful year that was just filled with schoolwork and learning more magic.
YEAR 03. | Much like the last two years, Seo-Yeon spent much of her third year just focusing on her schoolwork and hanging out with her friends and brother. Her and her twin were still inseparable; whenever they had time to hang out together, she would make time to be with him. The Hufflepuff had begun her elective classes this year too, electing to take Advanced Flying, Care of Magical Creatures, and Basic Healing. Classes she thought would be the most interesting and helpful for her to take. Learning to care for the magical creatures effectively began making her understand that the distance she kept between most people and herself wasn’t good for her. She couldn’t keep being alone most of the time, or relying on her brother’s company all the time as the eldest twin. It was still a quiet term without too much chaos in her life.
YEAR 04. | Seo-Yeon was unmistakably still someone that kept to herself, and her jealousy about her brother’s ability was slowly melting away now that she was much better with magic. There were even potions that could change her hair color whenever she wanted it to change. She was halfway through her schooling years, and the Hufflepuff was just glad that Mi-Reu was in her same year. They would never really be parted from each other. There wasn’t anything changing around the school, so classes were pretty easy to deal with. Peaceful, considering the school wasn’t the most quiet location, but it was still peaceful without the external chaos of the world.
YEAR 05. | This year, the peacefulness changed. Students in her year were anxious about their OWLs and they were getting their prefect responsibilities, something that Seo-Yeon didn’t acquire at this time. The Hufflepuff was perfectly fine, thinking everything was going to be normal like all the years before, but the brunette began to worry when students in the school were going missing. It didn’t take long before the girl realized whoever was kidnapping the students and professors that were being kidnapped were either magical creatures or muggleborns. Specific people were being targeted. Her eyes were specifically on her brother to make sure she could protect him, but at some point when she couldn’t be in his presence the Gryffindor was taken too. Seo-Yeon was not about to despair, when she had to take measures of figuring out where they were taking these people or at least getting better with defensive spells to help the others stay out of harm’s way. Neither worked. She wasn’t able to help any of them get back or be safe. Once everyone was rescued, she only hoped the next year was going to be calmer.
