Welcome to the 2020 Fall Festival!
As always, Hogsmeade is alive with fall festivities and the colors of the leaves are excellent this time of year! Although, things are a little rainy too. We can't expect perfection!
There will be open mass threads for each event, and members are welcome to post their own personal threads if they see fit. All threads will go in the Current Special Events Board.
For the weekend (which will last the month of October) Hogsmeade has been transformed into a massive pumpkin patch with artisan booths selling pumpkin pies, spices lattes and candied apples for your pleasure!
The Shrieking Shack has been reinforced and turned into a wicked haunted house for those who are brave enough to face ghouls and ghosts and other terrors inside.
The grounds of Hogwarts have been transfigured into a giant corn maze for people to get lost in and have a good time and spooky folks in costumes are roaming around to see if they can give anyone not expecting it a right scare!
The Three Broomsticks is hosting a pie eating contest and pumpkin carving meanwhile down at The Hog's Head, Halloween Horror Night is happening with a projection showing some spooky Halloween Movies all weekend long.

Under the careful eye of Professor Cassowary, a Potion Brewing Contest will take place at Hogwarts in the Potions Classroom. Professor Cassowary will be assisted by former Hogwarts Potion's Mistress, Emmy Doyle-Dumas. Challenge yourself to create a new potion, but definitely be careful! The most creative potion will win, have fun with this!
Throughout the weekend, photographers will be around snapping shots of your awesome costumes so don't forget to put them on display in the Haunted Masquerade Board!

Welcome to the 2020 Winter Festival!
Hogsmeade has outdone itself with holiday festivities for adults and students alike. The streets are lined with cozy booths offering warm drinks and snacks, cute decorations for the Christmas Tree, handmade gifts and all sorts of other imaginable items for purchase.
The Lake has frozen over and been turned into a giant skating rink for the enjoyment of the winter season.
Sleigh rides are being offered around the countryside near Hogsmeade and Hogwarts Castle. One in particular will take people up to Hogwarts Castle where a bonfire is roaring for warmth and a giant Igloo has been constructed. Those who are brave enough are invited to campout in the Igloo - this will be supervised by staff of Hogwarts.
A Holiday Feast will be hosted inside the igloo.
A giant snow hill has been ensured safe for those who want a more daring adventure like skiing and tobogganing. There is an enchanted lift to get you back to the top if you don't wish to climb.
Tree farmers have popped up selling Christmas Trees, feel free to take a wander and pick out yours today. Once you've picked it out, there will be a Christmas Tree Decorating contest you can participate in where you get to RP your characters decorating trees.
Cookie decorating will happen inside The Three Broomsticks.
As always, there will be a Christmas Eve Ball - The Yule Ball - and a Yuletide King and Queen (or King/King or Queen/Queen) will be announced. Only threads posted in the ball room board will count towards the Yuletide King and Queen. Posting from today (Nov 23) until Dec 15 will be counted and the winner will be announced after that.
There will be a mass thread for each event, members are encouraged to participate in those - ensure you are ensure to let people know in a note if your character is leaving a mass thread so people don't continuing talking to you.
You are also encouraged to create your own threads if you wish.

Involvement: As an Auror Trainee, Cullen will work with the Aurors in investigating and apprehending the poachers and saving the kids.
Joey, on the other hand, sees this as an oportunity to get his hands on some obscure potions ingredients from what sort of creatures the poachers are bringing in and thus would be willing to help them out for a cut - he's invested in creating new poisons.

The Plot Outline
A group of poachers known as The Ashwinders, have taken up residence in an abandoned hovel near Hogsmeade, dangerously close to Hogwarts. They are expanding their poaching business to Scotland after years of petty crime. Dealing in dragons, trafficking unicorned and breeding acromantula among other things.
The Ministry has recently accepted a rare Occamy from Mumbai as a sign of their dedication to protecting Creatures Rights and have enlisted Hogwarts to host this majestic creature and to allow the students a chance to study it. Students and staff are dedicated to its safety with round the clock survelliance.
The poachers want it.
It all goes amiss when a reckless group of students accidentally set the occamy free and try to cover their actions.
A second set of students rush to try and locate the occamy and bring it back - could be lead by 1 teacher perhaps?
The poachers snatch the occamy and the students.
The Department of Law Enforcement are on high alert to bring in the poachers, rescue the kids and return the occamy.
The Plot Needs
We are accepting all interested parties.
There will be a limit of 2 characters per member for initial sign ups.
Your 2 characters have to be in different groups meaning you CANNOT have 2 Aurors or 2 students involved to spread out opportunity.
