Kim Sun had heard about the Haunted House at the Shriek Shack and had never been inside, so she thought it would be a good time to check it out. She knew they would decorate it for Halloween, making it look a little different, and headed over to the building. Upon arrival, she saw there was already a line, so she joined the queue behind a guy, slipping her hands into the pockets of her jacket as she took a look around. She felt the chill of fall in the air, and despite the festive atmosphere, this wasn’t her favorite season.
As the line began to move, she wondered how long it would take to get through the Haunted House. Her mind wandered to the other attractions at the festival. She noticed there were options like pumpkin carving, a pie-eating contest, a corn maze, and various vendors. With so much to choose from, she found it difficult to decide what to explore next. The line continued to progress, prompting her to think that this haunted masquerade might be her last opportunity to enjoy such events. After all, she planned to open a shop to sell clothes and jewelry, which would likely keep her too busy to attend balls at Hogwarts after she graduated. As the line inched forward, she kept contemplating her future.
