Fall 2020 ( Nov 2024)
Hogsmeade’s Fall Festival Brings Frights, Feasts, and Famous Faces!
Ah, October in Hogsmeade—a time for autumn leaves, cozy scarves, and of course, the annual Fall Festival! This year’s festivities were nothing short of magical as wizards and witches from near and far gathered to revel in the delights of Hogsmeade’s most vibrant celebration. From street vendors peddling artisanal wares to a rather spirited Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest, the festival had a little something for everyone—and naturally, a splash of scandal.
The festival’s streets were lined with bustling booths, where artisans displayed everything from enchanted jewelry to whimsical wands. Seen weaving through the stalls was none other than Alune Harthorne, a keen-eyed shopper eyeing delicate, spell-infused jewelry pieces, and celebrity Quidditch star Hae-Soon Hwang of the Busan Basilisks, graciously entertaining fans between purchases. Star-struck Gawain Bones couldn’t resist trying to get acquainted with.
Yet, it was the Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest that truly brought out the competitors. Seven intrepid eaters lined up, ready to indulge: Francesco Barcia, his brother Guy Barcia, Antony Petrova, Sarah Brooks, Hokulani Meleakapua, Miaoyu Lu, and Sungwon Choi. The contest was not without drama, however—an escalating disagreement between Miaoyu and Hokulani led to an outburst as Guy Barcia, ever the mischief-maker, hurled a spoonful pumpkin pie directly at Miaoyu, but the antics didn’t seem to hinder Francesco Barcia, who took home the crown (and stomachache) as this year’s Pumpkin Pie Eating Champion.
If pie eating wasn’t thrilling enough, this year’s Corn Maze added an extra dose of terror. The twisting paths and cleverly enchanted foliage had students trembling as they wandered through, hoping to emerge unscathed. Among the unlucky few were Gawain Bones, Elspeth Prince, Cade Black, and—most dramatically—Albus Potter. Rumor has it that young Potter stumbled upon an enormous white cobra lurking in the maze. In a fright, he dashed into his fellow maze-goers, causing quite the commotion.
Yet the excitement didn’t end there! In a rare display of heroics, Albus reportedly used his Parseltongue abilities to “talk down” the snake, allowing his panicked companions to escape to safety. “It was quite the sight,” confided a source who wished to remain anonymous, “seeing Potter and that snake practically having a conversation!”
As night fell, the festivities slowly wound down, but the memories—however pie-splattered or snake-infused—will surely live on. Whether for food, fright, or just a glimpse of a famous face, Hogsmeade’s Fall Festival once again proved why it’s the season’s most anticipated event.
Can We Really Trust Harry Potter as Head Auror?
Ah, the Boy Who Lived, the Chosen One, and now, Head of the Auror Office—Harry Potter has been showered with accolades, adoration, and authority. But perhaps it’s time we ask ourselves if this celebrated hero is as infallible as the public believes. Rumor has it that even as he guards our magical society, he may be struggling with control over his own family—and that, dear readers, is where things take a dark turn.
Just last week, young Lily Potter was spotted conversing with a figure during the Fall Festival, a figure who, witnesses insist, bore a striking resemblance to a member of the infamous Rookwood family. Yes, you read that correctly. The same Rookwoods who have long been associated with unsavory alliances, including those with the Dark Lord himself. What’s worse, this incident happened right under the nose of Britain’s top Auror. One might expect Potter to be on guard, especially given the dangers his children face as high-profile targets. But alas, it appears he’s left his youngest daughter vulnerable to questionable influences, seemingly too busy with his position at the Ministry.
And if that weren’t alarming enough, rumors swirl that young Albus Severus Potter (Named after divisive figures, Albus DUmbledore and former Death Eater Severus Snape) has somehow inherited his father’s Parselmouth abilities. Reports from credible sources present in the supposed-to-be family friendly hedge maze claim that Albus was recently seen using Parseltongue—yes, that sinister language associated with the Dark Arts—to compel a giant white cobra to end its own life with little remorse. Dark magic lingering in the Potter bloodline, perhaps? One might ask where this young wizard is picking up such disturbing habits. Has the esteemed Head Auror failed to set the necessary boundaries and guidance at home?
As much as the public adores their war hero, these unsettling family matters beg the question: Is Harry Potter truly capable of safeguarding the wizarding world when he seems unable to control his own household? Or is this yet another example of Potter’s tendency to bend the truth, glossing over any inconvenient realities with a disarming smile and a wave of his wand? Of course, Harry Potter had refused to comment on these matters, or any other matters the public had been clamoring to hear more about, instead sending an Auror Trainee, not even a full Auror, to liaise with the Prophet. This says a lot about how much Harry Potter respects the newsmen and women who risk neck and limb to bring the truth to the public. (Something he is doing his best to conceal, no doubt.)
If the head of our Auror Department can’t even keep his own family away from dark influences and deadly creatures, how can we trust him with the safety of the entire magical community? Food for thought, darlings, as we wait to see just how long the wizarding world will tolerate Potter’s neglectful leadership. And rest assured, I’ll be here to bring you the truth—no matter how bitter it may be.
Grave Concerns: Disturbing Break-In at Brookwood Cemetery Leaves Graves Empty
It seems that even the dead are no longer safe, my dear readers. Brookwood Cemetery in Surrey—a site known for its historic and hallowed grounds—has been the recent target of a chilling crime. Disturbing reports confirm that, in a grim display of desecration, a number of graves have been broken into and their corpses stolen. Yes, you read that correctly: bodies have been taken from their graves in the dead of night, leaving families and the wizarding community horrified and deeply concerned.
Sources tell me that this ghastly business isn’t confined to graves alone. The morgue within the cemetery grounds, where bodies are typically prepared for burial, has also been raided, with several corpses mysteriously vanishing from the embalming rooms. Whoever is responsible for these macabre thefts is evidently skilled, operating undetected and leaving behind no traces of magical interference—suggesting either exceptional dark magic or the expertise of someone deeply familiar with both magical and Muggle methods of evasion.
Of course, speculation is running wild as to the motive behind these gruesome raids. Some whisper that this could be the work of dark wizards dabbling in necromancy, a banned and morally reprehensible practice that manipulates the dead for unspeakable purposes. Others suggest a disturbing connection to the recent resurgence of Poachers, feeding their ill-gotten creatures with the corpses of the dead, which could explain why someone might be brazen enough to pillage cemetery grounds.
Yet, as usual, the Ministry’s Department of Magical Law Enforcement is tight-lipped about the situation. Despite the glaringly disturbing nature of these crimes, Ministry officials have declined to offer any official statement, much less a plan for ensuring the safety of our loved ones laid to rest. One would think such grotesque crimes would prompt immediate action, but alas, it appears the Ministry has chosen to turn a blind eye to these troubling occurrences.
Adding fuel to the fire are whispers of even darker involvement. Could these thefts be the work of a Voldemort sympathizer or the remnants of his loyal followers, bent on resurrecting their master’s heinous practices? While I have no desire to startle you, dear readers, I am not one to hide the truth. These disturbing acts echo the type of ghastly magic we once associated with the Dark Lord’s reign, and the idea that someone might be attempting to revive or even replicate those horrors is a thought that chills one to the bone.
With the Ministry’s inaction and a lack of credible protection for our resting places, we must ask ourselves—who will keep us safe from this resurgence of dark practices? Until the Ministry decides to act, I encourage you to be vigilant. If this grave robber can strike at Brookwood, no cemetery is truly safe.
Rest assured, I’ll be following this sinister story closely, bringing you every ghastly detail as it unfolds. Remember, darlings, it’s not just the living who need protection in times like these.

A Future Magizoologist: Lily Potter
Lily Potter, the youngest child of Harry and Ginny Potter, has returned for her second year at Hogwarts this term, bringing her trademark enthusiasm for magical creatures and adventure with her. Born in Devon on September 20, 2007, Lily is currently twelve and is a proud Gryffindor, like her parents before her.
As a second-year student, Lily is fully immersed in her studies, with Defense Against the Dark Arts quickly becoming a favorite. “It’s only my favorite subject because Care of Magical Creatures isn’t offered yet,” Lily admits. “Once it is, you can bet I’ll be there!” This early fascination aligns with her aspirations to work in a dragon reserve or become a Magizoologist one day—a goal she hopes to pursue as she advances in her magical education.
Outside of class, Lily has taken to the Quidditch pitch, another family tradition in the Potter-Weasley clan. Although she’s a fierce competitor, she’s quick to clarify she’s not interested in anything beyond friendships at this age, exclaiming, “Heck no!” when asked if she has a special someone.
In ten years, Lily envisions herself working with magical creatures, possibly at a dragon reserve, embracing her passion for wildlife. With her adventurous spirit and strong ambitions, Lily Potter is sure to make a fiery mark on the magical world in years to come.
Training the Next Generation of Aurora: Cooper McPhee
Cooper McPhee, a 27-year-old Auror originally from Colonsay Island, is making his mark in the Wizarding World as head of the Auror Training Program. Born on March 19, 1993, to Callum McPhee and Jacey West, McPhee is known for his dedication to mentoring young wizards and witches, preparing them to face dark forces as they enter the field.
While McPhee spends his days training recruits in defensive tactics and advanced spellwork, he has plans to stay in his current role for years to come. “In ten years, I hope to still be here, teaching the next generations of Aurors. Maybe I’ll be married by then, the clock will be ticking!” he joked. McPhee hinted at a possible career shift down the road, mentioning a curiosity about teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts or even Eventide Academy. For now, however, he’s focused on leading the Wizarding World's elite young wizards into the world of magical law enforcement.
When asked about his personal life, McPhee confirmed he is dating but prefers to keep the relationship private. Although he has no children at the moment, he sees a family in his future. In the meantime, McPhee remains committed to his work, knowing that the legacy he builds will help shape the future of wizarding security.
It's a Bloodline: Dominique Weasley
Dominique Weasley, daughter of William and Fleur Weasley, celebrated her 18th birthday this past Halloween in the grand halls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where she is currently a seventh-year student. Dominique, born near Cornwall, has spent her life steeped in magical heritage, with her mother hailing from the esteemed Delacour family of France and her father a well-known member of the Weasley clan.
Though she grew up near Cornwall, Dominique looks ahead to a possible move to London after graduation, as she aspires to become a healer. “I’ve always loved advanced healing and potions, so I see myself working in a hospital setting someday, helping others with the skills I’ve learned here at Hogwarts,” Dominique shared in a recent interview. Currently, she is dedicated to her studies and is not participating in extracurricular activities, preferring to focus on her goal of entering the field of magical healing.
Taking a wide variety of subjects, Dominique has particularly excelled in advanced healing and potion-making. “Arithmancy is one subject I’ve opted out of, it’s not my cup of tea,” she admits with a laugh, showing her preference for hands-on, practical work over theoretical studies.
Dominique is currently single, dedicating her time to preparing for life after Hogwarts. In ten years, she envisions herself as a successful healer and looks forward to settling down with a family of her own someday.
As she prepares for the next stage in her journey, Dominique is determined to make her mark on the wizarding world through her dedication to healing.
No Time for Nonsense: Akihiko Shimada
As the school year progresses, Hogwarts students look toward their futures, but few have a vision as focused as Akihiko Shimada, a seventh-year student hailing from Japan and currently residing in Scotland. Akihiko, 18, is set on a path toward leadership in the British Ministry of Magic, driven by a strong sense of duty to his family and heritage.
Akihiko was born on January 1 to Michiko and Saburo Arasaka, members of a respected clan in Japan. Since his arrival at Hogwarts, he has excelled academically, especially in areas that align with his ambitions. Currently, he studies Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Magical Law, with Magical Law holding particular appeal. "Understanding the bureaucracy of the Ministry is essential," he said, emphasizing his desire to master the intricacies of magical governance.
Though dedicated to his studies, Akihiko is not involved in extracurriculars. "I have no time," he stated firmly, focusing instead on his aspirations to "serve my clan with honor and distinction." When asked about personal relationships, he clarified that his priorities leave little room for romance at this time.
In ten years, Akihiko envisions himself as a highly placed official within the British Ministry, bringing both skill and a unique cultural perspective to the institution. His commitment is already evident to those who know him, and professors have noted his disciplined approach to learning.
For now, Akihiko's journey continues at Hogwarts, where he aims to complete his education and embark on a career dedicated to public service in the wizarding world.
Anonymous Letter to Purity
The purist movement is disgusting and all those involved should be ashamed of yourselves.
You think that being pure makes you better witches and wizards; that it makes you superior and more entitled.
It does not.
Research and experimentation at the expense of innocent lives in Accona has proven that magic cannot be eradicated and we are all the same.
In the darkness, we are all the same; voices in the night scrambling to reach the same goals: to turn on the lights and see.
Purebloods are raised with power and wealth and respect but those things only exist amongst each other. Your wealth may continue but outside of your social circles your power and respect is diminished to that of any other ordinary person who has had to work hard and earn their station in life. Respect is earned. Power is earned. Its not handed to you just because your last name has survived centuries.
Purebloods live a life of privilege. Those with wealth and powerful family names are subjected to strict rules they are forced to follow about how they must live our lives. They must follow certain traditions and set unrealistic expectations for themselves. Their parents were raised with these rules and their parents before them. Generation after generation are forced to follow traditions without second thoughts or concern about how the world is changing and how their traditions encroach on personal choice and freewill.
As a pureblood, you are told how to dress.
As a pureblood, you are told how to act.
As a pureblood, your friends are selected for you out of a handful of appropriate children from the "right" families.
As a pureblood, your career options are limited to what is expected of you - the Ministry or family enterprises - without a second thought as to whether you will even enjoy that career.
As a pureblood, the person you will spend the rest of your life with is chosen for you, again, without considering for your thoughts or feelings.
As a pureblood, you are told how to think and what your opinions on controversial topics are without ever getting the chance to explore those topics and determine for yourself if you agree or disagree.
As a pureblood, you are NOTHING.
You are nothing but a carbon copy of your mother or father with a different packaging because you have been forced into a mold without your consent.
And why did they do this?
Because they know no better. Your parents are nothing but carbon cut outs of their parents who raised them exactly as they are raising you. It's a cycle that could end with you. All you have to do is make a stand. Change the narrative. Say no to the oppression in your life and walk away.
