So, you’re here because you’ve obviously been searching for an active Harry Potter RP site to join and have stumbled upon our ad somewhere in your travels. Now, what?

Surely you have clicked the links along the sidebar and know that INH is an alternative HP site that takes place 20 years after the events of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. Great! Now, just to be sure, you’ve probably already checked out the recently updated threads/posts to ensure we are an active site! And you’ve probably found the discord link to join and acquaint yourself with the members. If not, check them out now!

Now that you have completed those steps, although not necessary, you’re curious about the site and the really awesome people you’ve just met or the cool characters you have stalked in the Recently Updated Threads. What now?

Well, we have a timeline! It’s handy to know what’s happened on site and what’s currently happening so here are a few links to check out!

You have perused the important articles on site and are interested in making your first character! Great! We can’t wait! As you’ve discovered, we are all extremely excitable when meeting new friends! Here’s a few important starters for making your first character on site!

Before proceeding, ask yourself, would you like an RP Buddy? What is an RP Buddy? Glad you asked! They are a person on site who can help guide you along and be the first one your thread with to get yourself situated. Check out the RP Buddies info HERE and sign up if you want.

We have a limit on the number of students who attend Hogwarts based on year, house and gender. Please reference the dorm list which can be found HERE if you are considering making a student character. Keep in mind, just because there are currently no available slots in the year or house you desire, we also allow foreign students and there are currently no limits.

Students characters are required to make a minimum of 3 class posts per term in order to pass the school year. This will get your student an Acceptable grade. Anything higher requires more class posts. See the Rule Handbook for more information.

If you wish to make an adult character, be forewarned, the application will be longer than if you made a student. There is no limit on the number of adult characters you can make. Please check out the job office HERE to ensure there is availability in the job you wish for your adult character.

Want a creature? Not a problem. We do offer a variety of creatures on site such as Veelas, Metas, Werewolves and Vampires, however, there is a 50 post count minimum for these creatures to ensure members will be staying with us before creating a creature only to vanish. For more information on our creature rules, check out THIS THREAD.

You’re coming along nicely! You’ve decided on a character to make. Check out our PB Claims to ensure the face you want is available. Sharing of faces is permitted as long as the person currently using that face is agreeable. Please reach out and ask them before claiming the face. Staff will confirm.

Everything is settled. All you have to do now is create your character! Well, head on over to the Applications board and fill out your application located HERE. Post your application in a new thread with your characters first and last name. You can post a WIP and have 3 weeks to complete it otherwise it will be locked and archived.
