Good morning, afternoon and evening everyone! Excitement awaits us! If you read the Daily Prophet, Rita Skeeter has announced that the Minister for Magic has passed away. Very sad news indeed! But it makes way for someone else to be in charge and that someone else could be YOU!

That's right!

Inside New Hogwarts will be holding an election for a New Minister for Magic and Senior Undersecretary for the Minister. Currently, the role is being filled by Mateo Cabrera Calderon but in staying true to Democracy, we shall being voting.

Guidelines for Minister:
- Character must be 30+
- Character must have background in Politics IE: Works for the Ministry
- Character must have a firm stance on various areas of the Magical World that affects the people IE: Equal rights for blood status and creatures, Statue of Secrecy, etc. You may keep these beliefs secret
- Members running are required to be actively participating in the election as there will be Q&A's with characters.

Guidelines for Senior Undersecretary:
- Character must be 25+
- Character must have background in Politics IE: Works for the Ministry
- Character must have a firm stance on various areas of the Magical World that affects the people IE: Equal rights for blood status and creatures, Statue of Secrecy, etc. You may keep these beliefs secret
- Members running are required to be actively participating in the election as there will be Q&A's with characters.

General Guidelines:
- Each member is allowed to make 2 characters to run for Minister and/or Senior Undersecretary. You cannot use the same character to run for both positions.
- Members who are already at their cap of 10 characters are allowed to make 1 additional character to run for Minister or Senior Undersecretary.
- Members are expected to be active during the election and throughout their term should they be elected.
- Those named Minister for Magic and Senior Undersecretary shall be active participants in developing the site wide plot as their role will be important in deciding which way the plot goes.
- Members will have 1 weeks from today (Jan 14) to submit their applications for Minister for Magic and Senior Undersecretary.
- You will need to do the regular character application if you don't already have a character to run in the election. Then you will need to do the application to run (it's short!)
- If you already have a character created, please just reply to this thread using the code below to throw your name into the election.
