Again, he was doubting his decision to go through with this practice date. If he couldn’t make it through something fake, he’d probably never make it through the real thing with Soojin. Why was he already thinking this wasn’t going to work? If he kept doing that, it wouldn’t work. He took a moment to collect himself before he responded to the younger girl in front of him. ”That’s me,” he said. As long as he could make it through this practice without making her upset or having any weird visions, the prophet would be happy. Not wanting to trigger any of those nonsense visions, he made sure that when Miaoyu took the bouquet of flowers, there hadn’t been any physical contact between them. At least, she seemed to happy that he’d done his research before meeting with her. ”I’m glad you like them.”
A good start? Was she sure? He felt like a ball of nerves, and those nerves didn’t seem to want to subside. Ji-woon took a seat in the empty seat in front of her, though perhaps standing would’ve been better so he wouldn’t be fidgeting with anything he could touch near him. He wasn’t this nervous around Soojin anymore, maybe it was just that he wasn’t too familiar with Miaoyu, so he didn’t know how to act with her? Then again, he barely knew how to act around his fiancée. ”Fun?” Ji-woon wasn’t sure how to have fun outside of sitting in the kitchen with the house elves when he was at Hogwarts baking little sweets. He wasn’t even sure Soojin liked that. It was just a way that he could calm his nerves, but he couldn’t bake all day in the Ministry. If his father wasn’t forcing him to work in the Ministry, Ji-woon may be able to have opened his own bakery business.
”Thank you,” he replied. The compliment was nice enough that he wasn’t sure how to react. It wasn’t that he didn’t think he looked good, he just didn’t hear enough compliments at home, so he was still a little awkward with them. Her next question caught him off guard, and for a moment, he felt like he should mask his nerves like he had to with his family but that wouldn’t help him. ”I’m nervous about this,” he replied. If he’d been able to deal with it on his own, Ji-woon wouldn’t have been sitting in this chair across from Miaoyu, but here he was even struggling trying to keep his composure with a student. What was wrong with him?
His eyes were focused on the table, as he thought about what she’d asked her. There was nothing wrong with Soojin, it was probably just something wrong with him. ”She’s someone that knows what she wants and goes after it. A beauty that’s quite alluring, she has a strong presence, she’s confident and apparently has a love of dancing,” he said. That was literally all he really knew about her, everything else, he could only speculate from the times they’d spent time with each other. Especially that thing with physical contact that he’d only recently realized that evening they went to dinner together after he noticed her waiting outside the Ministry for him.
