TWENTY 05 NOVEMBER 1999 YEAR 3 OBLIVIATOR TRAINEE SLYTHERIN GRADUATE PUREBLOOD SOUTH JEOLLA PROVINCE, KOREA
| PERSONALITY: Sung-jin is a person whose quiet confidence speak volumes. It's not the type of confidence that boasts or needs to prove itself; it stems more from a deep-rooted belief in his abilities, shaped by years of dedication. He doesn't try to seek validation from other people because his self-assurance is built on a solid foundation of hard earned successes.
He approaches life with a no-nonsense attitude, generally cutting through others pretenses with a direstness that people might believe is blunt. Honesty is a principle for him; he believes in clear and open communication. There's no room for games, manipulation, or hidden motives in his life; just be straightforward and get to the point immediately.
Sung-jin holds high standards in every aspect of his life, holding himself accountable for delivering nothing less than excellence. He has sharp analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail, which help him solve problems and continue to make sure his execution is done with precision and care.
He tried to surround himself with people he can trust. Generally, Sung0jin has a calculated nature that has been crafted as a survival trait to make it in the environment he grew up in. He's cautious when it comes to forming relationships, always observing and assessing the other person to see if they prove themselves worthy of his attention. Once his trust is gained, it's almost unshakeable, it would take something drastic for him to stop trusting the person. Even then, he remains ground, trying to prevent his emotions from clouding his judgement or decisions.
Underneath everything, Sung-jin has a hidden sense of humor that few get to see. He doesn't lack a playful side, he just knows when it's the right time for it to show. For Sung-jin, humor is a sign of trust and comfort, which is something he would only share among the people in his inner circle. Gaining his trust isn't easy, but for those who do, they will have a loyal friend with a sharp wit and a lightheartedness that's more meaningful because it's rarity.
ASPIRATION: Sung-jin is determined to create a name for himself; carve out his own path and be recognized for his own accomplishments, not just being an extension of his family's legacy. He has always been able to excel in whatever he's set his mind to, he knows his success well, but he wants to continue to push himself and his boundaries to become as successful and influential as he can be. The main thing is that he doesn't want to always be remembered as just another Hwang. | LIKES: - Strategic Games or Puzzles: Sung-jin enjoys these types of games because he likes activities that challenge his mind. These strategic games appeal to his more analytical nature and his love for calculated moves. He'd put all his effort into these games to makes sure showed nothing less than the excellence he strove for every day in all aspects of his life. - Outdoor Activities: Sung-jin favors activities like running and swimming that allow him to focus on self-discipline and personal growth. These types of outdoor activities help him channel his competitive spirit and dedication to excellence. Continuing to nurture that side of his personality, generally making him woke up early in the morning to put that effort into these exercises. - Reading: Reading expands the reader's knowledge and Sung-jin attempts to read at least a half an hour each day to continue expanding his knowledge. These books are mostly non-fiction, peer reviewed journals and textbook like resources that feed people information as they read. - Quiet Time: Sung-jin uses his quiet time to plan out his next activity or just reflect on what happened after the activity to prevent any last minute mistakes from happening. There's never usually a time where he allows the time to be wasted, during his quiet time, he made time to spend with his wife, Artemis, opting to keep work and romance in two separate parts of his life. - Transfiguration: Transfiguration is considered one of the most complex branches of magic they could be learning in school, which was why he'd always taken an interest in it. He also thought it was a class that could continue to challenge him, so this was where most of his focus went into when he'd been a student.
DISLIKES: - Dishonesty and Manipulation: Sung-jin would rather people be honest with him, even if the truth hurts him, it would be better than the person saying a lie and him finding out about it later. Dishonesty earns the other person with a break of trust, and if they had already broken their second chance, don't bother coming back to him because he wouldn't care. He finds manipulation annoying because people are still hiding their true intentions, and he just wants people to be clear and upfront with him. - Mediocrity: Given the fact that he has always held high standards for himself in all aspects of his life, Sung-jin wouldn't like it when other people are being mediocre. No matter what, there's always room for people to more effort into what they are doing, and if they can't then they can put as much effort into what they are doing as they can. Sung-jin can admit that not everyone has the same level of determination and effort but to see significant progress is enough for him to give the person a chance. - Being Defined by his family: Sung-jin's main aspiration is make a name for himself outside of his family name so that others will remember him for his accomplishments, not the his family name. This is something that has developed into a very strong dislike, almost close to hatred. He is an individual and would like it if everyone else treated him as such, without being tied down by his last name. - Lack of Control: Due to Sung-jin's preference in always being aware of his surroundings and calculating everything, he would really dislike it if he was placed in a situation where he didn't have control of the situation or its results. He would try to seek a more logical explanation for everything to try to regain some semblance of control. - Wasted Time: Sung-jin is goal-oriented and values productivity, so he would dislike anything that feels like a waste of time. He would also just ask people to get straight to the point in their conversations because beating around the bush is something he believes would waste time. The activities he's participating in need to contribute to his growth or success. |
