Vai here struggles with darker urges, violent thoughts and whatnot. Currently, she is trying to suppress them, maintain the sense of morality she was raised with etc, but eventually, I'm thinking she will likely start to indulge them/head down a darker path.

I thought it would be a fun plot if she got a bestie (soulmate friends type bond), that is a very light/pure character, or is going to slowly become this kind of character. The pair would be inseparable at first, maybe bestie tries to help Vai deal with her darker urges, but slowly, as they travel down different paths, they grow apart, and eventually, realise that they have walked into completely different sides of the spectrum. Perhaps the realisation hits when bestie finds Vai breaking the law, or maybe Vai decides to cut them off for fear of corrupting them.

This would be a slow burn plot, and is meant to have a pretty angsty/heart wrenching end, as the two platonic soulmates realise that they have been drawn to opposite sides of the playing board (Think Prince of Egypt, how Moses and Rameses were raised as brothers and so close when they were younger, only for life and the decisions they made to push them to different sides. That moment towards the end where they stood off, realising they were no longer the same people, and were essentially enemies in spite of their history breaks my heart/gives me chills!).

Not a romantic plot. Also please note Vai is quite quiet and not very open, so it would need to be someone that can get past that aspect of her  Any questions hit me up via here or Discord! ^^
