Alice Stewart
TWENTY-NINE SEPTEMBER 7TH, 1990 CELTIC SCHOLAR/HISTORIAN SLYTHERIN GRADUATE PUREBLOOD PAIBLE, SCOTLAND | PERSONALITY: Alice is a bitch.. She is forward thinking, blunt when she speaks, and doesn't care about hurting anyones feelings. Although she enjoys flirting with...well, anyone, the idea of being tied down terrifies her. She can't stand the idea of being in one place too long, let alone the idea of being committed to one person for the rest of her life. Since she was a young girl, she love the idea of travel, especially to places where she may be able to discover ancient architectures and ruins to explore. Fascinated by history, she firmly believes in the importance of the past and the keys it can give to the future and to current day events. ASPIRATION: Alice has been living her dream since she left Hogwarts. Traveling the world over, exploring ruins and castles, learning about the rich histories of ancient civilizations and even participating in a few archeological events in several locations. However, during her latest excursion in Paible, Scotland in the Isle of Harris, she uncovered a Celtic magic that seems to be tied directly into her family lineage. Determined to uncover it's secrets, she's returned home to find help in her twin brother Dean. | LIKES: - History - Ancient Magic - Flirting - Travel - Journaling DISLIKES: - Staying in One Place - Being Startled - Micromanagement - Politics - Marriage |

CHILDHOOD. | Alice, like the rest of her family, was raised on the family farm in Aberdeen, Scotland. Being the only girl in her immediate family, she had to learn quickly how to have a thick skin. Just because she was born a girl, doesn't mean that she would be treated any differently for it. She was hassled and teased by her brothers, and made to help with the chores around their farm. Being a twin, Alice clung more to her brother Dean than any of her other siblings. Especially in their younger years, the two were inseparable. Digging in the dirt was never something Alice became accustomed to. Unfortunately for her, no matter how she protested she was still required to do her part for the family. The family, after all, is the most important thing to the Stewart's. Even still it never stopped Alice from being the brat that she was and hiding under her bed in order to avoid going outside and doing dirt work. Even as a child, Alice wanted more. She was a champagne girl with a family that barely had a beer budget. It bred a lot of resentment in the girl when she couldn't have something new or her own. |
SCHOOL YEARS. | When it came time to go to Hogwarts, Alice had mixed feelings. On the one hand it got her the hell away from the farm, and doing something exciting for once. On the other, she was expected to pretend that she came from more than she actually did. That was an adjustment, especially being around other kids that did have more. She spent most of her first year learning to fit in among the other Slytherins, and clung to Dean as a life support. She studied how the wealthier students acted and how the carried themselves, and eventually learned to do the same. Over time, it became clear just how easy it was to manipulate and fool others into thinking that she was more than she appeared to be. Taking a particular interest in History and Ancient Magic, Alice spent a lot of time in the library reading about ancient civilizations and earlier magics, absolutely fascinated with how they operated in such a different way than they did in the present day. Throughout her years at Hogwarts, Alice followed close in sync with her brother. The two were sorted into the same house, and believed whole heartedly in the purity of their blood, holding themselves to a much higher standing than their peers. Although, where Dean began to climb the social ladder in a manner of power, Alice never fancied that level of notoriety. Instead, Alice preferred to use her social standing at parties manipulating those around her to give her gifts and special favors and worship the ground she walked on. It wasn't hard given the fact she was a Veela. Looking the part of a rich bitch was easy when boys were so eager to give her diamonds and furs. As Dean's power grew at Hogwarts, Alice started to feel a bit disconnected. While she was supportive of his endeavors and believed in the cause he chose to fight for, there was a hesitancy that she felt and a fear of getting so close to the danger that he so often thrust himself in with his crazy partner in crime, Aria. In a way, Alice almost felt like he was leaving her behind, when in reality she chose to stand back and let him move in the direction he wanted to go in. Like a good bratty sister, though, she blamed him for their estrangement in their later years at school. Alice went on to graduate top of her class. |
ADULTHOOD. | When Alice graduated Hogwarts, she left home immediately. Throughout the last ten years, Alice not only traveled the world, but she focused her primary skills on things like curse breaking and intuitive magic. She found both skills extremely useful in the areas she chose to explore. She wanted absolutely nothing to do with their family business and no desire to live with them. Instead she wanted to travel and discover ancient secrets that magic left behind. She made her way around the world using her Veela charm and talents to buy her way into expensive hotels and lavish luxuries while she dove deep into her hobbies. For the most part, she ignored anything that had to do with home. Whether is was personal or communal, she simply just didn't care. Not until recently...Alice found herself in the northern isles of Scotland when she uncovered quite a family mystery, one that could potentially lead them to uncover an ancient magic that they might've been able to cultivate themselves. Much to her dismay, the secrets and key she found would require her to travel home and seek the help of her twin to find out exactly what it is that she uncovered. |

RP SAMPLE (200 words min.)
On the rare occurrence of a sunny day, Cascada Minor would never be caught indoors. If she was at Hogwarts, she would be found im the courtyard or garden, when not at work she could be found in Hogsmeade. It was one of her favorite places to visit on a warm and sunny day like today. People out and about, warm and inviting weather, ice cream from the shoppe what more could anyone ask for? The school year was coming to an end and with it her workload was slowly dwindling. Her muggleborn students were often excited for their first summer home, eager to tell their parents about their new adventures. Unfortunately, the end of school meant Cas would spend the majority of her time back at the manor with her mother. It was the only part of coming home that brought her dread. She'd hoped things would change and her mother would be willing to rekindle their relationship and maybe have some sort of mother and daughter connection. But that seemed to be more of a pipe dream.
Today, however, she wasn't worried about any of that. Today she sat on a bench in the middle of the village, basking in the glorious rare sunshine. She waved and made small talk with a few people passing by, but mostly she just enjoyed the people watching. Her dark hair was tied back into a tight pony tail, shorts revealing her tan legs, and a simple black tank top. She wanted to soak in as many rays as she could while it lasted. Back in North America, sunshine was abundant, here it was the opposite. She didn't mind as long as she could take advantage of days like today. Drawing in a deep breath, she exhaled her stress and watched the shoppers laughing a little at the younger crowd pulling their pranks and really enjoying their Saturday afternoon. She wondered what Keeley was doing, and Lux. But most of her thoughts always seemed to drift back to him. As much as she tried to keep them away, he always crept in and settled in the place that warmed her the most. What was doing, was he happy. She wanted the best for him, even if that life didn't coincide with her own.
