18 JUNE 23, 2001 7TH YEAR STUDENT SLYTHERIN PUREBLOOD SOUTH KOREA | PERSONALITY: As any Hwang should be she's been raised to uphold both the Hwang and Pureblood name and ways. Doesn't shy away from dark arts and is rather intrigued by that and danger. She loves beauty, but also pestering family members every now and then. Also loves to eat and hang around other purebloods that seem interesting enough. Doesn't mind letting go every once in a while, as long as it doesn't affect her outer look or reputation. CHILDHOOD. | Soo Jin was born to Kihyun and Hee-Young Hwang on the 23rd of June, 2001. She is the slightly younger sister of Sung-jin Hwang. Almost two years so she'd still have to consider him the eldest. Soo-Jin is merely another girl in the family, and waiting for the day to be used as a trade-off of sorts. Until then she'd have to sit around and chill, do her thing and enjoy life. Well, as much as she's allowed to enjoy it under the eyes of her family. She's taught well but also not to trust too easily, knowing that there could always be someone out for her, or them. While she does put significant trust in her brother, she also thinks he's "just a couple of years older so what does he know." Soo-Jin is more willing to trust herself but takes in the words of others, being an adequately raised Hwang girl with no specific interests just yet. Not all too unexpectedly her eyes are set on the Ministry but what her future holds is yet to be seen. Before she'd attend school she was home-schooled and taught, learning the arts of purebloods, getting a start on essential skills like language, music, arts and being a socialite. She's also told to prepare her future, to become a married wife and to make the family proud. |
SCHOOL YEARS. | During her school years, she's hung out plenty with fellow Slytherins and family members (that she's aware of and doesn't despise) and pretty much sticks to the pureblood sides of things. She's been at Mahoutokoro for a couple of years until following in the footsteps of her brother and jumping into Hogwarts. They consider it a learning experience and a way to gain knowledge, strength and power in the West. And honestly, a good lick of being bilingual never hurt anyone. During her time at Hogwarts she's also been showing her interest for specific subjects, never forgetting her pureblood allies. When the time of the creature prison came, Soojin was one of the captured, tossed into prison for being a veela. She didn't just sit there to be abused and let them casually man-handle her though. No, Soojin stood her ground and picked her battles wisely. Sometimes that meant simply giving in and parading around in ugly outfits, which always dull in comparison anyway. Once she'd gotten out of the prison she'd gotten into a couple of therapy session, continuing to hang around her fellow seventh year Hae-soon. Soojin got a little more withdrawn for a time but that ceased eventually with time passing along. Now, in her seventh year, she's in full gears to be herself again. The seventh year got back her tongue, looking at a career path. |

Soojin had been sitting in the Slytherin common room for what felt like forever now. Anyone walking in and out hadn't been interested enough for her to get up and move. So far the girl had been sitting by the glass windows, staring out into the dark and murky waters of the Black Lake, which lay adjacent to the Slytherin common room. That naturally gave it a 'colder' vibe but this was the basement. The fireplace didn't do enough to fire up the entire room but that was to be expected with the size and height of the snake den.
Every now and then her eyes turned to the entrance of the common room, waiting for anyone of interest to pop up. Perhaps the squid, merpeople or other creatures would swim past the window. Her posture was filled with poise, though dropping bit by bit as time went on. A book was tucked between the side of her upper outer thigh and the chair itself, just sitting there in case of a necessary change.
For a second she could swear she saw something, abruptly moving forward in her seat with excitement, spotting a shadow in the distance of the water. Soojin narrowed her gaze, getting up from her seat, the book dropping to the floor with a clear thud but she paid it no mind. The veela almost plastered her face to the ice-cold glass, trying to figure out if the shadow was just a wishful figment of her imagination or an actual shadow coming closer.
