Early Life
Albus Severus Potter was born on August 31, 2006 to Harry James Potter and Ginevra Molly Weasley. He is the second son and middle child to Harry and Ginny along with his older brother James and younger sister Lily. He was named after Albus  Dumbledore and Severus Snape - two of the bravest people Harry had ever known. He had a good life growing up in Devon with his siblings - even if James teased him mercilessly and he was always the brunt of his brother's pranks. Albus has a very close relationship with his father, Harry, and he is the one person Albus usually confides in even if he hates living under the weight of his famous father. He is close to his mother too but their relationship is not quite the same.

Albus enjoys Quidditch and has been to many games with his family, and extended family. One in particular was the year he stood out and supported Brazil while the rest of his family supported Bulgaria. He was called out by Rita Skeeter for this, among other things, and his mother rose to his defense by hexing her. He cheered so loud for his team when they scored the first goal that he almost fell out of the VIP seats they had.

During the summer before his first year, Albus enjoyed time at the Hogsmeade Festival with his siblings, his cousins and recalled how humourous it was to watch his cousin Elliott worry over Hugo lighting marshmallows on fire and waving them about but grimaced and made a face at his cousin smooching a girl after leaving the campfire. He's definitely worried about attending Hogwarts and what it will mean for him being the son of such a famous wizard, but at least he has family there, right?

Something was bubbling in the cauldron on the kitchen counter. Yes, he knew better than to brew a potion on his kitchen counter when he worked at the Ministry and had ll the proper safe aids in place for things like this but sometimes the Ministry was stifling and he had co-workers moving his stuff. Nate HATED when people touched his work space. There was a specific place for everything. His books went on the left as reference guides, his tools when on the right so he could easily grab them - he was right handed after all. His water was in a covered cup in case something exploded while he was dipping one potion ingredient into another. Nate had a system. No one was supposed to mess with his system.



Lifting the cup of coffee to his lips, again, part of the system, Nate leaned down to get a better look at the liquid in the cauldron. He really didn't know what colour it was supposed to be turning. This was experimental, after all, but the bubbling seemed too vigarous. He set down his coffee with a shaking hand - might have had too much - and picked up his wand to lower the temperature of the flames. Because he'd had too much coffee, because his hand was shaking, when he cast the simple spell, his hand shook a little too much and instead of lowering the flames beneath the cauldron, they went up. A huge explosion was heard. The cauldron lifted off the stand in an inspiration back flip tossing liquid all over Nate, his kitchen and worst of all, in his coffee, which was promptly swept off the counter as Nate ducked to avoid the liquid backsplash because he had no idea what it would do to him.



It hurt. That much he knew, and a defeated stance, Nate sent a patronus message to the one person who wouldn't make fun of him. Scold him, perhaps, but make fun of him, no. Not like his moronic brothers.
