CHILDHOOD. | Damian was born in Seoul, South Korea to loving but busy parents. They were both present, yes but his father was a little less. Still, he was taught the ways of their family, and purebloods, every evening. During his younger years, his mother would be home more often, and nannies were also present to help take care of him so that his mother Yujin had time to continue her work when it was appropriate. They would be watching him, teaching him and making sure that he was well taken care of.
Essentially, Damian was a bit sheltered at first but quickly became friends with Sung-jin Hwang, the two of them growing up. Magic would spark here and there by accident, simply confirming that they both were of magical origin, as they were expected to be. This only strengthened the bonds between the two families but the two of them were not quite the same. Still, Damian being older than Sung-jin meant that he felt like an older brother, something he would continue to feel for many, many years. When he was six, his younger sister was born, a beautiful baby girl who was another light in his life. Naturally, the girl was protected even more, which sparked something in him to be protective as well. Or more, rather.
At age seven he became a day student at Mahoutokoro, flying on and off with the Storm Kestrels, starting his magical career.

SCHOOL YEARS. | Damian started school at the age of seven, flying day in and day out on the large backs of these storm Kestrels, which in itself was cool. It was simply the kickstarter to his magical career though, which would be ardeous and long. At first, he admittedly had issues with learning all of the theory stuff, only because it was so much at once. Eventually, he'd get into the flow of studying though! Until the age of eleven, he would remain a day student as was usual. Then he'd start attending the school full-time, opening him up to more exploring, discovering and friends!
With time, Damian began to show specific interests towards music and quidditch. Since he was rather young to work out, quidditch would serve that purpose for the time being. He'd tried the positions of keeper and beater, finding beater the more fun one. Damian had decided to continue playing quidditch and try to learn as many instruments as possible. As for school subjects, most of his interest was put into theoretical subjects. Damian preferred them but knew that he should spend plenty of time practising his magic. A wizard who didn't know how to cast magic was a terrible protector, and that's exactly why he worked extra hard.
At the end of it all, he would graduate school and be free to travel, decide what to do in life and spend some more quality time with his family and friends. |
ADULTHOOD. | Once he graduated he moved out to Australia. During the holidays he'd gone to Australia as well but he wished to move there for a bit, as part of being a traveler, longing for something new. Having spent the majority of 10 years at mahoutokoro meant it was time for something else. So, Damian decided to move to Australia for a year. Now and again he would travel back home, to hang out with his friends and family. Especially when his childhood friend graduated.
After a year of living in Australia, he moved back to Korea, knowing that his younger cousins would go to school soon as well. He'd also escort them, if necessary. Sitting around and doing nothing was not for him though, starting his quidditch career officially. Could he have done that once he'd graduated? Sure but he simply didn't want to. First, he had to get back into the swing of playing every week but that was no big deal.
Damian's looking forward to seeing how life continues for him though, hoping to hang out with his friend/s plenty and see his sister's recitals, and watch her grow as well as his younger cousins. They're bringing the big brother role back out, and he's ready to embrace it full-time. |
