CHILDHOOD. | Born on the 23rd of July to Seomun and Jeom Jung-Hwa, Ryan is the second oldest of four children. Ryan was brought up with all the hopes of any Jung-Hwa to have the desire of the prestige and influence of maintaining traditions of honour, wisdom and power and to inspire the next generations with them. Her parents were sort of strict but mainly when it came to learning about culture and traditions of not only magic but where they were living. Ryan was encouraged to be herself not to let others influence her and to think for herself. She was the eldest daughter and was expected to help her mother around the ancestral home. However when she had her moments she would be walking around the ancestral home and exploring she loved to explore around the home where she could immerse herself in books and let her imagination roam free Also at times the gardens became her playground, a place where she could experiment with simple spells and potions away from the watchful eyes of her tutors and parents. Even around her two younger siblings she was very much looking out for them. She would like to spend time on the grounds of the ancestral home interactions with magical creatures that would live there. During her childhood, her family would frequently host grand celebrations and festivals that showcased their rich cultural heritage. Ryan eagerly participated in these events, where she would perform traditional dances and food of the culture. |
SCHOOL YEARS. | The first several years from the age of Seven until she was Eleven she travelled back and forth between her home and Mahoutokoto on a flock of giant storm petrel which she quite enjoyed. Being able to be flown between her home and school. While there was only the basic learning and historical learning of the magical culture of not only her own but within Japan as well. During this time she would enjoy any free time she had with in the grounds breathtaking scenery of what the school was around and in the ground to find the many magical creatures that are there. From when she was able to stay fully at the castle from the age of Eleven she filled her keen intellect and natural curiosity. Ryan was always eager to uncover hidden truths and spent much of her free time exploring the school grounds and its surrounding areas. She found that natural athleticism and determination quickly that she was a good quidditch player and played for the school team. Ryan excelled in various subjects, including potions, charms, and transfiguration Her favourite subject was the History of Magic and Ancient Runes, where she could immerse herself in decoding ancient texts and unlocking hidden knowledge. Ryan would often explore the man areas that were out of bounds to students as the magical creatures and untamed magic there. Despite its dangers, Ryan's curiosity often led her to venture into the forest with her friends. Reaching the age of 13 is a pivotal moment for Ryan is very exciting and nervous for her at the same time. Many Jung-Hwa had come before her and she had watched her brother do the same thing, but this was her moment. During the holidays her moment had come when the family assessed and celebrated the young witches and wizards' magical abilities and their understanding of the family's core values of a unit and the importance of not falling to the temptation of illegal practices. The whole thing helped shape her path and identity within the esteemed Jung-Hwa lineage. She spent many hours practising all of what she had learned and coming to love nature and magical creatures. Ryan likes to take on the role of a mentor to younger students. She shared her knowledge, offered guidance, and inspired others to pursue their passions and strive for excellence. As she liked to offer the young student the right tools to stay on the right path with the Japanese wizard’s code of not adopting illegal practices (The Dark Arts). She didn’t like to see anyone's robes turn white and she had seen this a few times. During her final years, Ryan was much more focused on her studies than before wanting to gain the top marks for all of her subjects and eventually to have that gold robe that many dreamed about. She still was her adventurous self and went out with the tradition of not only the school when they had festivals as well as her family's roots but she was focused on achieving her own goal. She was able to get some good grades might not be the full gold robe that she wanted but it seemed like a pale gold robe she had achieved. |
ADULTHOOD. | As she graduted from Mahoutokoro. Ryan returned home for a short time. It has always been planned that Ryan when she graduated would relocate to England where she would make connections to the Blackwood-Jung-Hwa branch of the family. For many centuries now the Jung-Hwa family has been known for settling in different places in the world to settle and expand the family. So it was agreed that when she graduated Ryan would head to England to start her new life. So she was able to get herself involved in the British Ministry of Magic in the Magical Education department where she had wanted to be in the Korean version. She likes the idea of helping those who are very much younger than herself realise the importance of Education and also help with the Education system making sure that it is maintained and kept in line with the changing times. On arriving in England Ryan is met by Myo Jung-Hwa and Margaret Blackwood who help her settle into her new life and what is now expected of her. In the first few days of Ryan arriving she is finding it quite difficult to change but she is excited for the challenge ahead of her and her new job. |

It was early morning, or at least Nikki thought that it was early as the others that were in her dorm room were still asleep, they normally were awake before her. She couldn't tell if it was early or not, with no windows she couldn't even look out of a window. One of the things she hated about being in this house. It was the fact that she couldn't look out of a window and also she felt like she was trapped with no way out. She pushed herself up on the bed and rubbed her eyes and put her head on her knees and took a few deep breaths as she tried to calm herself down. She had not had the best of nights sleeps, she found it hard to sleep most days. Today was nothing different, it had been the same dream as it had been for the last seven years always on repeat.
She wanted to get out as she really couldn't talk to those in her dorm room, she couldn't open up to them and she never could, she wanted Lux but she didn't want to wake her and those who were in her dorm room. So the only thing she could do was to get out of the common room and see if she could go for a walk. She headed out of the dorm room and into the common room, where it looked like the house-elves had cleaned up and the fire was lit. She could sit by the fire but she really didn't want to fall back to sleep again. She didn't want her dream again where the dog attacked her and it felt like it was happening all over again. It had happened when she was eight years old when she had been in the park and it had come out of nowhere and the dog had left scars up and down her back. She walked out of the common room and headed to go up to the entrance hall and to the grounds where she could walk around the lake.
As she walked out into the entrance hall she could see that the sun had only just begun to rise over the forest. She slightly smiled to herself as she headed to the lake as she liked to smell the lake and the wind on her face. It helped calmed her down and her anxiety. The remainder of that day was not good and the fact that her parents were not as caring as they should have been towards Nikki. She was sure that they blamed her for it, that she had brought it on. She shook her head as she was now beside the lake and started on the path that was around it. She took in the lake water smell and it gave her a sensation that she really couldn't explain. It was just nice to be out and seeing the morning air and being able to walk around with no-one around was Nikki's idea of peace.
