The admin team are getting ready for the new term which starts tomorrow;
Jan 1, 2023. With that comes some more updates, nothing seriously major but all of them impactful and will make for interesting role playing.
Foreign Students/Professors:We now have a significant number of students at Beauxbatons, Durmstrang and Mahoutokoro which is super exciting so the admins are working on putting up school information for those three as our priority and will eventually be working on the remaining schools interim. Be on the look out. The information will be posted in the School Boards.
New Hogwarts Regulations:After the events of last term, there are a lot of changes going on at Hogwarts which will be outlined here in an OOC announcement but also announced by our new Headmaster; Phronesis Dunamis.
The Department of Magical Education was designed to help Hogwarts run smoother and safer, this means member of that department will be inside the school regularly. Inspectors will make monthly rounds to ensure the wellbeing and safety of the staff and students and magical security guards will be placed within the school for similar purposes.
Hogsmeade trips will still continue with alterations. Each house will be given a time slot to visit the village and return to Hogwarts within the allotted timeframe. This is to make it easier on staff members supervising the trip to keep track of the students and ensure everyone returns together. The schedule is below:
9am - 11am: Gryffindor
10:30am - 12:30am: Slytherin
1pm - 3pm: Hufflepuff
3:30pm - 5:30pm: Ravenclaw
IC Disciplinary Guidelines:Please check out
the Rule Handbook as there have been some updates to help Professors and Prefects with in-character guidelines to disciplining troublesome students. There are also new guidelines on expulsion and discipline for werewolves and vampires. It's important that EVERYONE reads this. And you might as well take the time to peruse the handbook again to ensure you are familiar with all the rules and guidelines.
Along with the disciplinary guidelines, there is a new program at the Ministry for any interested parties to take on as a career. This is the Underaged Witches and Wizards Rehabilitation Program. This program will act as a final attempt in correcting the behaviour of troubled students who have been expelled for minor implications and is further detailed in the IC Disciplinary Guidelines.
Professors, you should have received a PM from Serena as a reminder that classes open tomorrow so make sure your sign ups are ready to go and if you haven't already done your lesson, you have 1 OOC month to get it posted. Please familiarize yourself with the Professor Guidelines to ensure you haven't missed anything.
Students, classes should be opening up tomorrow to sign up, and some lessons are already being posted. Try and get a head start on your class posts so you don't have to rush around at the end of term. Please familiarize yourself with the guidelines for classes so you don't miss anything.
Foreign Students, you will have an updated exam to write in order to pass your year once classes have been posted and questions taken from the various on site lessons. Feel free to RP yourself doing class work with your fellow classmates.
Term Events:Exciting, exciting. There will not be a massive site plot this term, but your plots and events master (me) has a bunch of stuff up my sleeve for your enjoyment.
