OC CHARACTER APPLICATION
 | EZEKIEL HUXLEY 29 12 August 1988 Cursebreaker at the Museum Slytherin Graduate Pureblood London, England | PERSONALITY: Ezekiel can be considered aggressive because he has a tough external persona that is meant to show that he isn’t scared of using all the resources he has to keep his family safe. He doesn’t pick fights anymore unless it’s a fight he’s trying to finish because someone else thought they could take him down. Though he isn’t a ruthless person that controls other people, it’s an old habit to do things like buying things out or sabotaging events to make sure that the people he cares about are safe. Everything he does has good intentions even though a lot of people may not see it that way, he does have a difficult time showing his feelings and care for other people. He’s also rather overprotective and can be seen as overwhelming sometimes, but he does it to show how much he cares about his family. LIKES/DISLIKES: Ezekiel enjoys spending time with his family, including his beautiful wife, and hopes to learn how to allow her to have her own freedom without interfering with her life. He is a history lover and even likes to practice his charms whenever he has time. Zeke loves anything to do with fighting, and he can be a bit of daredevil if given the chance, though that daredevil side of him has diminished quite a bit since he’s getting older and a little more mature. The only reason why he’d come to love fighting so much was because he couldn’t stand people bullying his other siblings. He didn’t care about who they were, Zeke wasn’t afraid to throw the first punch. He isn’t the biggest fan of small enclosed spaces, but he can be in them. ASPIRATIONS: Ezekiel wants to be a better person for the people around him. He’s had a rough start to life not understanding what it meant to be an older sibling and then altering that attitude to keep his siblings safe. He knows that those tactics aren’t the best and not everyone will appreciate them, so he’s trying to learn how to curb his controlling side. |

Ezekiel Huxley, born as one of the oldest children of the family, was used to having the attention to himself most of the time. It was when the other siblings began coming into the picture that Zeke was having trouble accepting them. At first, he couldn’t stand it, making him the most rebellious child in the family, but as he learned to control his emotions, he figured out that it was better to control the other person than get angry over something he couldn’t do anything about. Before he didn’t have an qualms about just digging through his siblings’ pasts to see what he could use to control each one of them since every person had some kind of a weakness, but he learned to accept they were equals with time.
Actually, Ezekiel tends to be a little overprotective of his younger siblings and would pick a fight with anyone that hurt anyone in his family. Even in school, when he began going to Hogwarts, Zeke would attack those that would bully his siblings and he didn’t care much for the detentions and nonsense that Professor seemed to believe would help him learn to deal with anger better. It didn’t work obviously. He would continue with his fights and detentions throughout school. For the longest time, Zeke thought about working in the ministry as an Auror, but he didn’t know if that would be a great fit. Instead, after graduation, he went off to work at the museum to work as a cursebreaker since he’d become interested in that sort of thing towards the end of his school years.
Not long after, he’d met a young woman that learned to take the good with the bad in his personality. Ezekiel was happy around her and they had eventually gotten married to each other. He doesn’t think he’s ready for a family of his own, but he’s open to thinking about it in the near future. He’s still learning how to respect others decisions and not interfere with other people’s lives, but at least he’s not getting into anymore fights for the people he cares about.

For whatever reason Elizabeth was forced to go to this ridiculous ball, maybe a year ago she would’ve actually enjoyed such a party, but in this situation it wasn’t the most entertaining. The blonde hadn’t even tried to dress up to impress this time, her red dress was plain. If it wasn’t for the boldness of the color, she doubted anyone would notice her walking into the Great Hall. Maybe she was wrong and just believed she could walk through the school without being noticed, but she could make it so she wasn’t recognizable if she wanted to, but what was the purpose of that now? She thought the reason she had been left behind had been to do something for her father, but he didn’t send her a letter or anything. It must’ve been a punishment or something so she wouldn’t be home for the holidays or maybe her mother had interfered again?
Whatever the reason was for her staying at the school, Elizabeth was deeply grateful for the break from everything she had to do at home. While it still felt like both a blessing and curse to be stuck at the school for the holidays, she shouldn’t be stuck on that when there was a party going on. The blonde had stopped by the drink table to grab a glass of punch before walking off to the side of the room. Dancing. That’s what these parties were all about and Lizzie was not someone that would get up and dancing in front of a crowd. What a ridiculous idea? She shouldn’t have even thought about coming to the ball. There was no point.
As the blonde turned to leave, her eyes landed on someone she didn’t recall from any previous years. He was far too old to be a first year, so her guess was that he was a transfer student. Elizabeth glanced at his outfit. He was different from all the stuffy pureblood students at the school, that was a given from the way he dressed to this formal event. Lizzie looked away and moved to walk past him. New kid or not, she wasn’t in the mood to entertain these festivities anymore. She might as well go back to her dorm room and settle in for the night.
