14 JANUARY 19, 2006 TRANSFER STUDENT FOURTH YEAR RAVENCLAW PUREBLOOD KOREA | PERSONALITY: Jiae is a soft-spoken girl with a knack for the arts. Whether it is picking up a paintbrush, staring at a sculpture in a museum or writing a poem, she loves it all. She's a generally kind girl but can run a fiery competition, as she should. Jiae is loyal as well to her family, despite finding a lack of agreement with some things. As a pureblood, she has choices but not every single choice in the book. Probably more than others though, if she performs well. Privilege by success. She intends on honing her skills like singing, playing the piano and the violin while figuring out how things have changed for her since she came to Hogwarts. Her younger cousins will be there but it'll also be quite a shock for the girl who's used to Mahoutokoro. Jiae hopes that it won't change anything for her but has doubts, which kind of affects her anxiety sometimes. If anything, Jiae believes in hard work, perseverance and strength. Leaving things up to luck and mere chance is so not her thing.. ASPIRATION: Jiae aspires to become known for her arts and skills, gain a name and become somewhat of a famous person. CHILDHOOD. | Jiae was born during the thunder on January 19th, 2006, making her a gyeoul (winter) child. While not an actual miracle baby, nothing went wrong during the birth, the thunder and snowfall were somewhat of a hassle. Purely because of the weather she was given the English name of Elsa, which was commonly used as her stage name as well. Growing up with an older brother seemed rather grand, and despite her parents being gone for work plenty of time there were nannies and other families to keep her busy and social. Starting from the tender age of three, instruments would slowly be introduced, starting with learning how to read sheet music and memorize the keys and sounds at least. Was she perfect? No, of course not but the age of three seemed fine to begin introducing things as core memories. With the years she would also start learning the violin, picking up on the tips and tricks quickly. Living in a pureblood and Asian household meant the sooner, the better. The better my child outperforms you, the more honour we have. So, Jiae had to learn fast. Going to school at the age of seven did not mean she could stop learning the piano and violin, adding on dance lessons like ballet. |
SCHOOL YEARS. | At the age of seven, Jiae was whisked away to the magical school of Mahoutokoro. Being from a pureblood family she already knew what to expect, being told by her parents and of course being surrounded by magical folk pretty much all the time. Flying on those storm Petrels to school was the worst part for her. She wasn't aware of a possible fear of heights but doing the flights back and forth sure gave her anxiety and fear of heights. Did she have much choice? No, this was simply the way one would get there so Jiae was always given the same Petrels so she could sort of bond with it. Still, she'd clutch on for dear life, trying not to scream during the entire flight. Naturally, Jiae would practically touch the ground after every ride, making it her ritual to make sure she was still alive. At the school, she would try and focus on every subject available to her year group, which was merely a basis for the many things yet to come in the future. Her taught discipline helped though, the girl being told that she should keep a close eye on her musical skills and keep improving them. Was there much time for it? No, but it wouldn't take long before she'd throw herself into her musically inclined activities, joining her young and older peers in the music and drama club. With time spent at Mahoutokoro, she would improve her skills, both magical and musical, and find a new interest in history and art. Not long after that, Jiae's wish to travel and visit museums all over the world would grow. Once her younger cousins would start attending Hogwarts, Jiae was told to join them at the school, leaving Mahoutokoro behind. As someone who'd gotten an interest in travel, she was rather keen on going somewhere else, seeing new sights. Jiae had set her plans on learning about the school, until finally joining herself. |
