DOMINIQUE WEASLEY
18 31 OCTOBER 2002 STUDENT 7TH YEAR GRYFFINDOR 1/8 VEELA HOGWARTS | PERSONALITY: You would think that growing up as one of many cousins, that Dominique would need to have a larger than life personality to fit in. Surprisingly, for the sometimes soft spoken teen - she needed to give nothing more than a look to get her point across. After all, she is her mother's daughter. She always wanted to guard herself, and worries that people are interested in her for her family name. So the people she trusts, she keeps close to her heart. Dom loves to laugh and make people smile, but she won't talk just to fill the air with noise. Unless she's nervous. Then she has a tendency to ramble. She is content being the middle child, and has never really had any jealous towards either of her siblings. To those that Dom is related to - or that wishes she was related to, Dom treats them with care and concern. She's known as being the best listener in the younger Weasley family, and tends to be the one the younger cousins come to when they are injured. Truthfully... it's probably the bag of sweets she carries that buys their love. Dom is aware that she is considered 'beautiful' and while most girls her age would use that to their advantage - it's never been in her wheelhouse. She'd rather be known for the contents of her heart, than her so called 'pretty' face. But.. she'd be lying if she didn't admit that hearing a cute person call her pretty makes her blush. ASPIRATION: Dominique has always wanted to help people. From a young age, she thought that she might like to be a teacher. That way she could help to teach the next age of witches and wizards. As she's gotten older though, Dom has realized that her heart really lies with healing people. The excitement that she feels when she's helped someone who isn't doing their best fills her heart with joy. She has been working hard on her grades at school, so that she can apply to healer training after graduation from Hogwarts. Beyond that, she'd one day like to settle down and fall in love. She hopes to be a mum one day, whether that is by adoption or by birth. | LIKES: - Her family - Sweets - Making others smile - Travelling - Laughing - Reading DISLIKES: - Anything sour - People who think she's just another pretty face. - Early mornings - The snow - Muggle Bandages. CHILDHOOD. | Dominique grew up always knowing that her family was different than others. Beyond the fact that she spent time in two countries, and had an older sister she admired - Dom knew that her family was unique. Sure, she had more cousins than she could count. But that was a good thing. It meant that she would never be alone. A less good thing was knowing that people were always, always interested in what was happening in her family. It's because of that interest, that Dom has always wanted to keep her family safe. Some of Dom's happiest memories were the times that she spent in the kitchen with Nana Weasley. She loved watching the magic happen there, knowing that the simplest things could become the most delicious things. Dom was always closer with her father, and very much enjoyed being a daddy's girl. Her favorite time of day was when Dad would tuck her into bed with a story, it was the one time of day that she would completely let her guard down and let her imagination soar. Dom loved to spend time with her older sister, and always looked up to her. She was jealous when Victoire headed off to Hogwarts first, and wished she could be there with her. And while she couldn't speed time up, Dom spent the time with her little brother trying to enjoy her last couple years of just being a kid... and baking cookies. |
SCHOOL YEARS. | When the time finally came for Dom to join her sister at Hogwarts, she was terrified that her nerves were going to get the best of her. She was worried about fitting in, and people treating her like Victoire, not as an individual. Dom was happy when she was sorted into Gryffindor, as at least that was different than her sister. Yeah, it was the same as a lot of her family, but at least it gave her an idea of what to expect in her housemates. Dom has been a hard worker at school, especially since she has settled on becoming a healer after graduation. She wouldn't call herself a teacher's pet, but Dom will try her best to make sure that she has turned in work she can be proud of. Dom was a little disappointed that she wasn't selected as a prefect, and hoped that it wouldn't be something that let her parents down. Dom surrounds herself with a friend group that she knows she can trust. People that see her as more than just 'Harry's niece' or another pretty blonde girl. She acts like the mum of the group at times, and is the first person to jump up if someone is sick or injured. She has not dated anyone, but truthfully she has been wrestling with her own sexuality. She has been attracted to both boys and girls, and she's been a little nervous about telling her family. |

dom leaned back in her chair, yawning softly as she stretched her arms out. she'd been attempting to study for the better part of the last two hours and honestly, she'd probably read the same sentence fourteen times. she slammed her textbook shut, deciding that it was probably best to give up on studying for the night. dom reached for her bag, pulling out the last letter from her sister and giving it another read through. sure, there was probably better ways for her to stay in touch - but there was something about writing letters that made the young witch happy. she was glad to hear that victoire was doing well, even though dom missed having her sister so close.
sighing softly, she set vic's letter down and picked up her own pen, trying to find the right words. she knew with graduation coming at the end of the year, she needed to tell vic about her struggle with her feelings. that if there would be anyone who could understand it would be her sister. but, dom just didn't know how to say it. oh hey by the way, i don't like just boys, i actually think girls are pretty swell? dom thought to herself, trying to keep from internally rolling her eyes. it couldn't be this difficult. dom was just over thinking things, right?
