VALKYRIE LiNDGREN
12 JUNE 15, 2009 STUDENT 1ST YEAR HUFFLEPUFF HALF-BLOOD ENGLAND/SWEDEN | PERSONALITY: Valkyrie is a kind girl who's seen a bit of the world, which broadened her horizon. She loves to be around people, make them laugh, support them in a time of need and hold their hand to pull them through a tough time. A girls girl, supportive and willing to lay down the line. Of course, Valkyrie is young so any experience could change and shape her to become different in the end. She loves her parents, loves exploring and is a curious person all around, whether that's to her benefit or not. Loves to learn and is a hard worker. She doesn't give up and looks up to her loving parents, who have always shown her and each other lots of love. They all support each other in whatever they do, bringing positives into their family. Valkyrie is thus determined, watching her parent's hardships over the years, which eventually evolved into all the love and support shown. She's got a mothering type of character, wishing the best for both friend and foe if any. Valkyrie doesn't expect to have many enemies, or haters I suppose, but knows that anyone can find a way to put you down. So, sprinkle the positivity on top of it and everything will get better! Right? That's how it works, right? ASPIRATION: Valkyrie is a wee young girl, who doesn't have much of a true aspiration just yet. However, growing up in the Scandinavian peninsula has given her much respect for Norse Mythology, ancient runes, ancient sites and old magic. It is quite likely that her aspirations will lean in these directions. Also possible, museum work! Since her fascination, the museum would be a good place for her to work and spend time. If going down the more adventurous route, it'd likely be becoming a cursebreaker. FAMILY MEMBERS. | FATHER: Ansgar Lindgren (Swedish), works in the Ministry of Magic in Sweden as an Auror, half-blood MOTHER: Jasmine Qiu-Lindgren (Singaporean), currently resides in England with Valkyrie. While she attends school, her mother goes back and forth. She works as a liaison between the Ministry of Sweden and of England. |
CHILDHOOD. | Valkyrie, named after the Valkyries from Norse folklore, was born in the medieval city of Visby in Gotland, Sweden. Her mother had come to Sweden after finishing school to learn more about certain plants and creatures, eventually running into Ansgar, a handsome Swedish man. They'd fallen in love and eventually had Valkyrie. Now, while growing up in this city, which Valkyrie absolutely loved, she made many friends with the local children. She was told beforehand that there could be magical accidents, in order to prepare her for such possible catastrophes. Valkyrie always loved coming to the local ice cream shop or exploring the sights that Visby offered. Specifically, she always asked to go to the Gotland Museum for its ancient runes, finding them rather fascinating. Once the magical oddity had shown itself, which wasn't all that crazy in Visby, they began discussing on where to school her. Durmstrang was the closest choice but for a girl like her not an option at all. She would hate it there, and the half-blood family would rather avoid such a school of its stature, sweeping it off the table pretty quickly. Left with Beauxbatons and Hogwarts, as nearby schools, the choice was made to send her to Hogwarts since it was a little closer to Sweden. Plus, the school would do her well with its diversity and available subjects, and the open opportunity for her mother to be a liaison between the two ministries also helped her decide in the choice. |
SCHOOL YEARS. | First year so far has been pretty smooth! The sorting hat was having a bit of a hard time between fitting her in Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Gryffindor but eventually tossed her into Hufflepuff. Valkyrie didn't mind one way or another, simply excited to attend school, make friends and start learning about everything possible. So far, her interest is mostly in Astronomy and the History of Magic but she tries to soak up as much information as possible. |

After violent tossing and turning in bed, living moments of his werewolf form that he usually didn't remember at all, he finally woke. A layer of sweat indicated the vividness of his sleep adventure, groaning and sitting up straight. His sheets had been dishevelled, much more than they'd be usually. The male put a hand to his chest, calming the erratic breath occurring for the wrong reasons. "crap," Ji-woon cursed under his breath, feeling an unexplained anger rush through his veins. It wasn't a full moon, right? While getting up his foot caught in the sheets, nearly tossing him to the floor and creating an even bigger outburst. He was ready to punch a wall at least once but was not interested in paying for the damages to his expensive walls so soon.
After some fifteen minutes, Ji-woon made it into the ground floor of his apartment building, leaving to catch some fresh air. Maybe a workout in the open air would do him better, easing his troubled werewolf mind some. While walking outside in the busy neighbourhood he decided to grab some food, eyes up at the moon to make sure it wasn't a full moon tonight. It wasn't. Entering a pretty general food area he sat himself down, not feeling at ease with himself yet and ordering some alcoholic drinks to go along.
