Hina Avaiki was not a scaredy cat. Nuh uh. Nope. Totally not. But braving the shrieking shack, which was already creepy enough, in haunted house form? Now that was next level. Especially considering the fact that she was currently creeping through it alone. Merlin what a literal nightmare. Initially, she'd entered the shack with her older sister and cousin Tama, but in the rush they'd been separated and the third year had been left behind to fend for herself. Oh, the tragedy. They'd likely already made it out by now, and she was stuck inside trying to find her way like a blind woman. She was a snake, not a lion, this was terrifying!
Hearing a sinister chuckle from somewhere ahead of her, likely some apparition or feature of the haunted house, the young girl made a small 'eeping' sound, head snapping in the direction. She normally had great composure, and was clinging to it desperately, forcing her breath to remain somewhat even, although her fists were clenched somewhat. It was a bit too dark to see what laughed in the room ahead, and she peered into the inky black, debating whether she should investigate or turn around. It's not like something could actually hurt her, the logical part of her brain knew this, yet she was still creeped out. This was the only thing that kept her from simply running around blindly, she was already lost in the house anyway. Creeping towards the door, she approached from the side gingerly, peering through. Her heart was practically in her throat.
