Marcia Gwendolyn Jaeger
16 June 6th, 2004 STUDENT Hogwarts - Gryffindor - 6th year Pureblood Hogwarts | PERSONALITY: -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Brave -=- Reckless Honor -=- Cruelty Loyalty -=- At a Price Bold -=- Brazen -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Impatient thrill-seeker who gets bored easily. She's scrappy, a bit obnoxious, and morbid. Willing to tear down any obstacle that obstructs her goals. Can be a bit of a bully, as she likes exploiting weaknesses. She is usually the first to step up to a conflict, and likely the last to willingly leave a fight. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- -loves to work out -loves to push herself -loves to fight -loves to win -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- As a pureblooded magical person, Marcia certainly enjoys the social status and the great game of high-society functions, especially the darker corners frequently found therein. That is the world she grew up in, and was taught to perform as a part of. That said, she doesn't fully buy into the half-blood or no-maj-born hatred thing. While she was taught that she's better than other magical peoples because of her blood status, recent events and living through segregated classes have changed her mind a bit. The whole issue just seems kind of juvenile to her, now... and it's definitely a cringe issue to start a villainous campaign around. That said! Marcia is still remarkably biased against sapient magical creatures, especially Vampires, Werewolves, and Veelas. And half-breeds? Vile. To her, Vampires and Werewolves are leeches on society who only exist to inconvenience and endanger the masses. If they are so cursed, why not just remove themselves and benefit the world? Additionally, Veelas simply cannot be trusted. Anyone with the power to manipulate others like that is just abhorrent and might as well be exiled. Marcia is also staunchly anti-Seer. Seers would deny others their freewill for the sake of justifying their defective minds. ASPIRATION: In Marcia's eyes, her future holds fights, duels, scraps, extreme feats of exploration, and felling dangerous creatures. She envisions herself becoming an alcoholic or a smoker or both. The stories she'll bring to pure blood society will make the weaker-willed blush. She's not overly concerned with the details, but whatever will come, she'll face it head on with a grin or a middle finger. Or both. Her free will will get her over that horizon. The truth is less convenient. Her parents are missing in America, somewhere, wanted and probably on the run from the MACUSA pigs chasing them. Marcia probably should do something about that... she wants to help her parents because she still loves them, and that could be a whole adrenaline-laced thrill ride of it's own, but it would jeopardize her own dreams. She needs to make sure they are alive before she does anything about that. She doesn't want to let go of the Dark Arts for the power it instills, but she has watched those who abuse it rise and fall over the last few years here in England. She looks forward to someone rising up to topple the system who won't get curb-stomped in a year. | LIKES: -dueling -fights -acts of strength -hard rock and metal -Capris Suns -adrenaline -most shades of green DISLIKES: -second chances -rumors -stereotypes -sitting still -show offs -poor communication -Aurors (oink oink) |

CHILDHOOD. | Born in 2004, after a string of complicated pregnancies, Marcia was born a healthy child in magical American pure blood society. Her parents were loving and kind to her, but had high expectations for their daughter. From an early age, Marcia was taught the expectations and nuances of pure blood society. From the pageantry to the family history, mottos to crests, pleasantries to doublespeak; Marcia spent many hours begrudgingly participating in all the stuffy less-fun stuff her parents made her do. She much preferred to be out and about, exploring and playing. Over time, she came to respect and appreciate the nuances, but her heart longed for the freedom of being away from all that. Marcia's parents invested heavily in her education. She learned music on piano and had some vocal training, but would frequently throw out her voice before practices so that she didn't have to do both at the same time. Additionally, her parents taught her a lot of things about the magical world before she ever got her acceptance letter to Ilvermorny. They also instilled in her a deep distrust of the American magical government. The one thing she didn't get a lot of time for was friends. She had a few, but they were all from other pure blood families, and play-dates were infrequent. |
SCHOOL YEARS. | The transition to school at Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was a welcome breath of fresh air for Marcia. She was on her own and learning with her peers the subjects that would really propel her forward into the magical world just like her parents had before her. She wasn't the best student during those early years, much to her parents' chagrin. This got slightly better over time, especially by her 4th and 5th years. At Ilvermorny, she was a resident of the Wampus house, a house that prized warriors. Marcia took to this especially well, though her tendency to throw a punch first and ask questions later got her in trouble more than once. Sensing their daughter needed to be humbled and learn some discipline, they decided to give her a reason to slow down and think more carefully. During the Summer before her 5th year, Marcia's parents introduced her to some of the finer points of the Dark Arts. They began to train her to defend herself more rigorously, teaching her spells that would force her to hold back and think critically lest she wind up in a wizarding prison. It was during one of these training sessions, Marcia slipped up and failed to deflect a spell that painfully removed her left arm. This moment hurt, as her mother had cast the curse, but her parents were not any more harsh about the lesson. They rushed to her aid and immediately conjured a strange prosthesis that appeared as liquid metal before attaching itself to her shoulder and forming into a new arm made of metal. The pain was gone, but the lesson was learned. Humbled and armed with both forbidden knowledge and a heavy new arm, Marcia started her 5th year at Ilvermorny. In the middle of the school year, Marcia's life was further uprooted when her parents decided to move across the ocean to the UK, taking her along and getting her transferred to Hogwarts. This was around the second task of the International Wizarding Tournament, so she felt further disconnected from everything going on, opting to spend a lot of time on her own, familiarizing herself with her new school home and the strange happenings from the previous three years that she thankfully missed. Just after starting to get comfortable around Gryffindor House, something strange happened as Marcia was preparing for her O.W.L.s. Unbeknownst to her, both of her parents had ventured back into the United States and were quickly arrested by MACUSA Aurors. After suffering that already difficult time, Marcia spent a lonely summer in a wizarding orphanage. There, she had a brief relationship with an orphan boy who was hiding his nature as a half-vampire. Once she found out, just as the end of summer, Marcia broke it off quickly and returned to Hogwarts as soon as the grounds were open. To make matters worse, she has just received news that her parents have escaped captivity. |

RP SAMPLE (200 words min.)
(From an AU where Marcia grew up to go forth and conquer her demons and her evil parents...)
Cain trudged into his low-rent apartment, already a little hunched over from the day's events. He grabbed his shoulder after reaching back to close the door. He winced and muttered to himself before turning back and closing the door with his other hand. Walking into his living room a few paces, he noticed that the television was on. Was Mori back? She had left nearly a week ago for a trip to Montrose but never said how long she would be gone.
Cain let out an annoyed sigh. Breathing in almost made him cough. He needed to dust again.
"Moreta," he paused. "Hey," he said, acknowledging the presence of the young woman watching his television. "You could have maybe contacted me any time in the last 48 hours? Maybe?"
"Bloody hell, Cain!" Moreta snarked, throwing her hands up in the air. "Hi! Yes, I'm here today. Might be for a few more days. Don't start any more drama."
"Mori. Please," Cain paused to shake his head and refocus himself. He continued, "Look, this happens to be my apartment. All I'm asking is to have a better idea of when I can expect you to be or not be here." Another pause, "I don't have to let you live here, you know."
"You wouldn't. You don't have the guts." she shot back.
"You're right. I don't," Cain said, pantomiming a lazy surrender.
"Sooo, don't play that card," she answered shortly.
"Fine... but I'm letting you live in my apartment for free," he countered. "I think that implies just a little respect for my opinions in the matter."
Moreta suddenly crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes at Cain. "Is that what you told Marcia?"
Cain shuddered, mouth forming a scowl, "You back-stabbing b****!"
"Fair," Moreta admitted before shooting back, "Canting prick."
"Fair," Cain admitted tersely. "Marcia never lived here, though."
Moreta rolled her eyes at him. "She was over often enough. Hell, you were googly eyed the whole time every time. Did she ever tell you when she was going to be here or not?"
Cain shut his eyes tightly and began to rub his temples. He slumped back against the wall.
"No." Moreta continued, defiant. "No, she didn't."
"Will you please stop talking about Marcia?" Cain asked, eyes still closed. "You're the one who keeps telling me to move on."
"And I see you've done well enough with that," Moreta scoffed through a hint of a smile.
Cain opened his eyes quickly and shot Moreta an annoyed stare. "What are you talking about?"
"Oh yeah, Cain. I've already met Lacey."
"What? How? Wher-Whatever. That's fine, I guess. We're not even dating, Mori. Lacey's just a friend from work."
"Mmm-hmm." she dismissed. "Sure. Sure."
"Seriously, we're not a thing." he defended, finally blinking again.
Moreta cracked her neck and yawned. "Sooo… she’ll be over to visit next weekend?"
Cain slumped his shoulders in defeat and trudged back to the door of his apartment. Without a word, he opened the door and left only to walk back inside a few moments later. Once again, he tried to close his apartment door with his bad shoulder, grabbing it and wincing again after shoving the door closed with his elbow. He trudged into his living room and threw a vague wave toward the couch.
"Hello, Moreta," Cain offered.
"Hi, Cain," she returned pleasantly. "Welcome home."
"Yeah."
