CHILDHOOD. | Liora was born on the 21st of August to Elias and Seraphina Vandelore at Silver Leaf Hall in Wiltshire, England. However, with the deep-rooted pureblood heritage, Liora was raised to value integrity, wisdom, and equality. Despite the vastly different ages of her older sibling, she formed a close bond with all of them and learned many things about herself, including compassion, kindness, bravery, justice, adventure and a sense of fun by watching, listening and joining them in the exploration of their vast estate. She would often steal one of her sibling's brooms and try to fly them around the grounds. She would sneak into the nearby muggle village to watch the muggle children, wondering what they would do and learn all day. However, the muggle children found her odd; she would still enjoy time spent with them at the muggle playground and join in on their games. Her closest-in-age sibling, Cassian, was who she developed a love for pranks, helping him pull them on their oldest siblings. These pranks often included levitating objects out of their sibling's reach and laughing at their reactions. Like her sibling and other Vandelore family members, her magical education began young with theory and history, allowing her to become ahead of other children. This is where she gained a love for Herbology when, by accident, when she was seven or eight years old, Liora went looking for her mother in the greenhouses on their property and stumbled upon her mother’s Mimbulus Mimbletonia. The plant squirted Liora with stink sap, and although it smelled rancid, Liora found the incident rather hilarious. |

It was early morning, or at least Nikki thought that it was early as the others that were in her dorm room were still asleep, they usually were awake before her. She couldn't tell if it was early; with no windows, she couldn't even look out of a window. One of the things she hated about being in this house. It was the fact that she couldn't look out of a window and also she felt like she was trapped with no way out. She pushed herself up on the bed and rubbed her eyes and put her head on her knees and took a few deep breaths as she tried to calm herself down. She had not had the best of nights sleeps, she found it hard to sleep most days. Today was nothing different, it had been the same dream as it had been for the last seven years always on repeat.
She wanted to get out as she really couldn't talk to those in her dorm room, she couldn't open up to them and she never could, she wanted Lux but she didn't want to wake her and those in her dorm room. So the only thing she could do was to get out of the common room and see if she could go for a walk. She headed out of the dorm room and into the common room, where it looked like the house-elves had cleaned up and the fire was lit. She could sit by the fire but she really didn't want to fall back to sleep again. She didn't want her dream again where the dog attacked her and it felt like it was happening all over again. It had happened when she was eight years old when she had been in the park and it had come out of nowhere and the dog had left scars up and down her back. She walked out of the common room and headed to go up to the entrance hall and to the grounds where she could walk around the lake.
As she walked out into the entrance hall she could see that the sun had only just begun to rise over the forest. She slightly smiled to herself as she headed to the lake as she liked to smell the lake and the wind on her face. It helped calmed her down and her anxiety. The remainder of that day was not good and the fact that her parents were not as caring as they should have been towards Nikki. She was sure that they blamed her for it, that she had brought it on. She shook her head as she was now beside the lake and started on the path that was around it. She took in the lake water smell and it gave her a sensation that she really couldn't explain. It was just nice to be out and seeing the morning air and being able to walk around with no-one around was Nikki's idea of peace.
