LEA DE TRAFFORD
17 20TH DEC 2002 STUDENT HUFFLEPUFF/6TH YEAR PUREBLOOD MANCHESTER, UK | PERSONALITY: Lea was raised to be prim and proper, sculpted as a real live doll, but as she has been getting older, she has developed an affinity for often rolling around in the mud and getting her hands dirty. She is a mostly extroverted young girl, talkative and buoyant. Due to her easy-going nature, it is not difficult for Lea to make friends, and she likes to radiate positivity in every situation. Having grown up in a neutral household which focuses more on a person's character and achievements rather than their blood status, she strives to get along with everyone and stands up against prejudice, mostly because she tends to question things she does not understand. This does not mean she does not falter at times, often becoming withdrawn if she is hurt or disturbed enough. She is adventurous and tends to spend much of her time outdoors, thoroughly enjoying physical activities that gets her pumped. ASPIRATION: She is being encouraged at present to try and get good grades and pursue a stable career, although this is quite difficult for her as she is not able to sit still and study for long periods of time. One of her biggest dreams is joining the all-women Holyhead Harpies team and playing Quidditch internationally. She will also come to be a strong advocate for equality and fight on the side of the non-purists. | LIKES: magical creatures hiking socialising make-up products cakes and pastries Quidditch DISLIKES: injustice bullying eating meat criticism closed spaces studying |

CHILDHOOD. | Lea is one half of a fraternal twin-pair, born to the affluent and ancient household of De Trafford, a name that dates back to 1016 during the ruling of King Cnut Sweynson of Norway. The De Trafford family has a rich history intertwined with the wizarding world, known not only for their wealth and influence but also for their unique lineage. They are one of the very few families in England carrying a veela bloodline, a heritage that traces back centuries, imbuing them with a mysterious allure and certain magical abilities. However, this lineage is gradually fading over time, adding a sense of urgency to preserve their traditions and customs. Her mother, originating from the non-creature wizarding family of De Massey in Chester, brought her own history and traditions into the De Trafford lineage. The De Massey family, though not as ancient, held significant influence and power in their own right, often rivaling the De Traffords in various aspects of wizarding society. Despite the occasional tensions and rivalries between the two clans, unions between them were not uncommon, although often looked down upon by traditionalists within both families. As a young child, Lea exuded a vibrant and lively personality, often bringing joy and laughter to any room she entered. She relished being the center of attention during family gatherings and events, her bubbly nature captivating those around her. However, the sudden loss of her mother at the tender age of ten cast a shadow over her upbringing, leading her to become more withdrawn and introspective. It wasn't until she embarked on her journey at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry that she began to rediscover her spark and sense of purpose amidst the magical community. In contrast, Lea's twin brother exhibited a demeanor that starkly contrasted with hers. He was quiet, introspective, and deeply studious, often preferring the solace of books and quiet contemplation over social gatherings. Despite these differences in temperament, the bond between Lea and her brother remained strong, their unique personalities complementing each other. |
SCHOOL YEARS. | Lea's time at Hogwarts has been quite enjoyable; while she isn't particularly fond of academics, she manages to keep up with her studies to a satisfactory level. Her true passions lie in outdoor subjects like Care of Magical Creatures, and she thrives in activities such as Quidditch and broom racing. Despite often being chided by her elders for her easily distractible nature, Lea's enthusiasm for what excites her has never waned. Though generally bubbly and outgoing, she sometimes comes across as overly-opinionated and spoiled, traits that may annoy others. However, she always endeavours to do what she believes is right, never intentionally causing harm. Throughout her school years at Hogwarts, Lea faced a unique set of challenges, particularly as a half-veela. While her veela heritage has given her an undeniable allure and unique magical abilities, it also brought its own complications. She found herself occasionally struggling to control the impact of her charm, particularly during moments of heightened emotion or stress, which sometimes led to misunderstandings with her peers. Despite these challenges, Lea remained resilient, gradually learning to harness her veela heritage and control it. A lot of the time, she simply chooses to ignore it. Lea possess a natural leadership quality, rather than a tendency to follow the crowd, especially considering the resurgence of blood battles in the wizarding community. While her family remains neutral on political matters, Lea vehemently opposes prejudice and isn't afraid to voice her opinions. This became particularly evident in her fifth year when she bravely escaped from kidnappings targeting muggleborns and magical creatures, emerging as a beacon of hope for some younger students, guiding them to safety. Lea also finds inspiration in her cousin, Lavinia Tse, who fights against bigotry through her role in the Wizengamot at the Ministry of Magic. Upon returning to Hogwarts after the tumultuous events, Lea eagerly threw herself back into school activities with renewed vigour, dedicating herself to Quidditch training and scouting events as she pursues her career aspirations. Her experiences during the crisis have only strengthened her resolve to stand up for what she believes is right. |

RP SAMPLE (200 words min.)
It was around the time of year where things were getting colder, the students at Hogwarts anticipating snow any day now. The letter 15-year-old Lea had received had overjoyed her, wanting to rush to tell Augustus or one of her close friends, but she knew she needed to keep it a secret until things were actually confirmed. It was nearing the evening time, Lea only having a few hours left of curfew before needing to make it back to school.
She wore a woollen hat over her long, blonde hair, her hands in matching mittens clutching onto the parchment which gave her directions for the meeting place. She followed the signs until she found herself standing outside a loud bar. Her brows furrowed, looking back at the parchment again to see if she had gotten the right address. Seemed to be right.
The young girl stepped inside, instantly being met by the revelry crowd and loud music. At least it was nice and warm. She pushed her way further in towards the bar, catching some strange looks, especially from the male demographic - being a tall, blonde haired, elfish-looking, half-veela girl was sure to harbour some attention, but she ignored them by habit.
"What can I do for you?" Lea had made it to the bar, not having removed her hat and mittens yet. She still wasn't sure whether she was in the right place. She was just about to open her mouth to speak when the man continued to talk, cutting her off. "Funny. Nobody ever asks what they can do for me. Owning a bar really sucks. Just kidding. No it doesn't." Lea laughed, but it wasn't genuine for once, her nerves in anticipation of the meeting getting the better of her. "I'm looking for.. Mr. Phillip Abbott? I was told to meet him here.. Am I at the right place?" She held out the parchment to him which was branded with the official logo of the Holyhead Harpies.
