KIERAN Min-woo YANG
13 JUNE 26TH 2006 3RD YEAR STUDENT GRYFFINDOR MUGGLEBORN LONDON | PERSONALITY: A traveller, an explorer and sometimes a bit of a dreamer, Kieran is a young boy who accepts the world as it is and takes things as they come. As a muggleborn, with little knowledge of this world, he comes in with big eyes of wonder and curiosity. He's still a bit shy and tries to make friends with mostly anyone. Often quiets down a bit, not knowing how to engage in conversation or how to continue a conversation yet. He is determined, brave and bold enough to push himself forward while remaining sensible. He knows he can't push too far, being wary of pushing new friends away by accident. Definitely enjoys food though and being outside in the nice, fresh air. He has a bit of a fear of water though, not knowing what lurks beneath the surface and fearing he might drown or something. At the moment he's also afraid of large animals, afraid they might eat, trample or kill him. ASPIRATION: Before knowing about magic he wished to be like his father, but now he's not quite sure about all the possibilities that have opened up to him in the future. Likeliest is that he'd become some sort of traveller, exploring magical trails. | LIKES: - Candy - Cats - Reading - Quidditch - Taekwondo - Soda's (but don't tell his mother) - Ramyun - Boba tea - Enjoys the outdoors DISLIKES: - Bodies of water - Big animals/creatures - Pumpkin juice - Chocolate frogs - Anything that explodes - Probably the irrational kind of fears - Magic is a bit scary to be honest. FAMILY MEMBERS. | Kieran is born in London to two immigrant Koreans. They don't know where their magic abilities come from but know that their son isn't as regular as they had guessed. His father works in a hospital, and his mother takes care of the house while she's heavily pregnant. Kieran will be expecting a younger sibling any day now. |
CHILDHOOD | AGE 0-10 Kieran doesn't know any better than living in London all his life. Being born and raised in London, while also receiving Korean language lessons because of his parents, he grew up in a regular environment. His mother was always home, taking him to school or extra-curricular activities like taekwondo. He's always been a bit of a shy boy so his mother tried a bunch of things, to see which thing he'd like best. Eventually, taekwondo stuck out the best. Other than going to school and taekwondo classes, Kieran helps around the house if his mother asks him to. His father is a doctor, always on call and helps whenever he has to. Often Kieran would see his father go to work at odd hours but he understood that his father was a busy man, an important man and worked hard. Naturally, Kieran wanted to grow up like his dad but being magical caused a change in that course. Over time the sparks of magic had shown themselves, eventually, the Ministry coming over to take care of the mishaps of accidental magic and telling the family about their little boy and this magical world. Kieran would have to go to magic school, if they allowed him to, of course. They did in the end but it took some good thinking and convincing. Naturally, Kieran was over the moon at the idea of magic. |
YEAR 1. HOGWARTS | AGE 11-12 Kieran's first year at Hogwarts was quite the magical journey as one would expect it to be. The amount of space and things to explore for the young boy had increased by a mile, meaning that he'd have plenty to keep him sweet and occupied. Naturally, he could only do so much as mandatory classes were plenty as well. All in all, the school year was quite the magical ride for the muggleborn. |
YEAR 2. HOGWARTS | AGE 12-13 Kieran's second year at Hogwarts had been almost equally as interesting as the first. Of course, since he'd settled in already it was easier to make his way around the school. Since class-wise nothing changed he continued to follow his classes with interest. So far he hasn't show a peculiar interest in one of the classes, simply enjoying them all. |

Yone debated internally if she should talk to Jae-seong about the simple thoughts of her brothers. How close of a relationship should they have to remain professional? What her brother was doing wasn't scandalous or anything but it was still family, meaning it was somewhat personal. "It's nothing serious, nothing to be worried about." Not too worried at least. Yone tried to shut herself up, the animagi trying to shove the thought back into her mind. "What do you think about buying a cheap house, like a 500-dollar one, but it's so cheap because someone died in it or it's haunted by ghosts? Or because it's a remote place and the town is trying to grow their population?" Probably an odd question if he didn't know the reasoning for asking.
She didn't expect to receive a compliment from him, smiling at him. "Oh, thank you," Yone bowed her head to him as a thank you. "I'm not sure yet if I'd like to be a professor." It'd depend on the availability of the job, and if she'd even consider becoming a professor really. "I might prefer being an assistant instead. So far I've enjoyed my time as your assistant. How are you finding the job so far?" He might've absolutely loathed it.
The girl began to move towards the transfiguration classroom again, this time with half a stack of papers. Not that it made a crazy difference, as long as they didn't fall to the ground yet again. Did that mean she had to sort them out again?
