CHILDHOOD. | Let's talk about Malachi's childhood. He was born to wealthy pureblood parents and had everything a pureblood child could ask for. Every custom broom, expensive toy and nice piece of clothing. What he did not have was many friends. He was a bit insufferable as a child, though sweet enough he always got his way, which was why he was so insufferable. Malachi grew up as the king of the roost and no one was going to knock him off that throne, or so he thought.
He was given piano lessons, ballroom dancing lessons, lessons in etiquette, the basics of how to run a household and be a proper husband to support a family one day when he was old enough. Basically, Malachi had it all until he didn't, and he would be blindsided when that day came. It was still far off. |
YEAR 01. | Both his parents told him stories about attending Hogwarts. The grand castle was a thing of his dreams every night. When he finally arrived, sailing across the black lake by lamplight on small boats with a few others, Hogwarts did not disappoint. He marched up those stairs in awe, and into the great hall with his head held high knowing, without a doubt, he would get the same house as his parents. And when the sorting hat was lowered to his head, it shouted Slytherin before it could even tousle a dark lock out of place. |
YEAR 02. | Learning magic was fascinating for Malachi. He liked transfiguration the best. Watching things change from one form to the other was incredibly. Way more than the simple charm of making things float or whatever other silly trick they performed in that class. Transfiguration seemed to be where his heart was...for now.

YEAR 03. | This was the year that would change Malachi's life. While he was at school, living his best life, his parents marriage was falling apart. His mother discovered his father was having an affair and planning to get a divorce. He asked her to move out so his new fiancee could move in with him. She was pregnant too therefore Malachi would have to move out with his mother so the new baby could have his room. When he returned home to find this out, Malachi had never felt such hurtful rage in his life. His father had just kicked them to the curb. With no where to go, Malachi's life was uprooted to a small country house that belonged to his grandmother. It was confining for a boy used to a vast mansion and Hogwarts. It did not help with his rage.
|
YEAR 04. | Angry at the idea that his father would leave his witch of a mother and magical son for a muggle with no powers and move that half-blood brat of a half-brother into Malachi's room, he began to brood until he learned he could take that anger and use it in more productive ways. Terrorizing muggleborns and halfbloods at Hogwarts as a way of making himself feel better by pretending they were his new brother.
|
YEAR 05. | A few of his new friends this year helped him sneak into the restricted section where they found all kinds of ooey gooey books on dark arts and disgusting potions that could transfigure body parts into hideous deformities. It was the beginning of something new for Malachi. They did get caught by the Caretaker but their detentions were overthrown by Umbridge - she was in charge of the school at this time - instead of detention, Malachi and friends were indicted into the Inquisitorial Squad and worked hard to bring Dumbledore's Army to justice.
|
YEAR 06.
| Being in the Inquisitorial Squad gave Malachi a taste of power. He loved it. Being friends with the likes of Draco Malfoy because of it, he got to see a lot more of the dark arts than most people in their year, and he developed a renewed hatred for people like the great Harry Potter who wanted the world to be equal and peaceful when it obviously was not that way. Muggles should not be allowed to come into their lives and take away their families like they had to him. His desire for revenge began to grow.
|
YEAR 07.
| Finally, it was time to graduate. Malachi wanted to do something great with his life. The downfall of Voldemort, to him, meant that there was room for another dark lord to rise. Him. He left school to find his calling.

ADULTHOOD. | Malachi would eventually find himself at Durmstrang for a few years studying among their peers to learn more about the dark arts since Durmstrang was known for teaching students about these dark arts.
After his time at Durmstrang, around 2003, Malachi returned to Hogsmeade where he took an interest in a couple of students from Hogwarts. They would meet at the Hog's Head and Malachi would teach them the things he had learned since his graduation. He took a keener interest in the boy among them, noticing a piece of himself in the boy and deciding he would be the perfect candidate to help with his revenge. He had returned to Scotland just for that. It was time his father and new step-family got what they deserved. When he was ready, Malachi took Dean to his family home and the two of them murdered Malachi's father, stepmother and stepbrother in a most gruesome of ways, leaving their dissected bodies open for the Aurors to later find.
When Malachi's trio finally graduated, it was Dean who followed Malachi across the globe, they learned together, growing in power but eventually, Dean would leave him too as the funds dwindled and he had to work. Malachi continued to travel every nook and creamy of the world, becoming such a twisted being that he posed a great threat to society.
In knowing that his power was growing and he placed the world in grave danger, though uncertain why they cared because they shared the same beliefs in purity, Dean and his playmates worked together to fashion a magical prison in which Malachi would spend almost ten years trapped in, being hand fed by his former pets and used for his knowledge while his rage bubbled and boiled until finally...
Finally, someone came along and was able to undo the magic done by Malachi's pets and the man was once more released upon the world. His reign of terror would begun shortly. |
