How it all began

Starting in 2010 Alayna Pierce had just graduated from Hogwarts and was disowned from the rest of the family, having loved being around magical creatures since she was a young age, Alayna had wanted to work with them and feeling like that Hippogriffs needed somewhere safe to wander around in. She asked for help in setting up a nature reserve that was just for them. So on the North Yorkshire Moores where not many muggles would go, she found a safe spot for them to grow and be looked after.

There are many protection spells that are around the Sanctuary to stop muggles from coming across them. Here at the sanctuary, the Hippogriffs are taken in when muggles have come across them or that they have been injured or that people are not able to take care of themself as they are unable to handle them. This is a non-profit run company who income is what donations comes in which is not much.

It all started with just the one Hippogriff but now there are over 30 on the Nature reserve that is well taken care of.

Many who come here now are magizologist or those who are training to be ones.

Outstanding: 8-10 posts or more (85-100%)
