Basic History: (min. 100 words)
Clara’s family had been part of the second wizarding war, fighting on the wrong side of it. She had been kept in the dark all her life, believing that her mother and father had worked for the Ministry, when in reality they were working against the Ministry. It was only during the war that her parents realized they were wrong and tried to retreat from the chaos within Hogwarts walls. They made out unscathed and planned on recreating their lives in France so that they would never have to face the problems lingering back in Scotland and England. The death eaters had all been captured and taken to Azkaban, killed in the fight, or living on the run from the Ministry. The Emerson family had changed their last names to Michaels and started from the beginning in a new place.
When Eleanor was born, they had sent her to Beauxbaton to get her schooling done and a year later Clara was born. Unlike Eleanor, she didn’t want to go to the school in France, Clara had heard about Hogwarts through the grapevine and thought that was a better school. Her parents were hesitant at first, but they saw how passionate she was about going to Hogwarts and decided that it had been long enough since the war that it wouldn’t matter too much. That was where they were wrong, a few months after the birth of their youngest child, Hiram and Josephine were caught and sent to Azkaban for their involvement with the Dark Lord. Their children, however, were innocent and were sent to the orphanage where a muggle family took them in all together.
Clara and Griffin went to school at Hogwarts to learn, while the eldest Michaels continued to attend Beauxbaton. During the night of a full moon, the two siblings had an unfortunate run in with a werewolf and were forced to run for their lives. Clara pushed her younger brother ahead of her and made sure be a tad bit slower than him in the wolf caught them, she’d be the first to be attacked. The pain was unbearable, but somehow the girl had survived and now faces that same challenge every full moon. At least her brother was spared, that’s all that matters to her.
Family:Hiram Michaels - Father
Josephine Michaels - Mother
Eleanor Michaels - Older Sister
Griffin Michaels - Younger Brother
Roleplay sample:For whatever reason Elizabeth was forced to go to this ridiculous ball, maybe a year ago she would’ve actually enjoyed such a party, but in this situation it wasn’t the most entertaining. The blonde hadn’t even tried to dress up to impress this time, her red dress was plain. If it wasn’t for the boldness of the color, she doubted anyone would notice her walking into the Great Hall. Maybe she was wrong and just believed she could walk through the school without being noticed, but she could make it so she wasn’t recognizable if she wanted to, but what was the purpose of that now? She thought the reason she had been left behind had been to do something for her father, but he didn’t send her a letter or anything. It must’ve been a punishment or something so she wouldn’t be home for the holidays or maybe her mother had interfered again?
Whatever the reason was for her staying at the school, Elizabeth was deeply grateful for the break from everything she had to do at home. While it still felt like both a blessing and curse to be stuck at the school for the holidays, she shouldn’t be stuck on that when there was a party going on. The blonde had stopped by the drink table to grab a glass of punch before walking off to the side of the room. Dancing. That’s what these parties were all about and Lizzie was not someone that would get up and dancing in front of a crowd. What a ridiculous idea? She shouldn’t have even thought about coming to the ball. There was no point.
As the blonde turned to leave, her eyes landed on someone she didn’t recall from any previous years. He was far too old to be a first year, so her guess was that he was a transfer student. Elizabeth glanced at his outfit. He was different from all the stuffy pureblood students at the school, that was a given from the way he dressed to this formal event. Lizzie looked away and moved to walk past him. New kid or not, she wasn’t in the mood to entertain these festivities anymore. She might as well go back to her dorm room and settle in for the night.
