OC CHARACTER APPLICATION
 | Evangeline Garcia-Taylor 15 12 April 2002 student 5th year Ravenclaw pureblood Nice, France | PERSONALITY: Evangeline grew up away from her father’s purist views, she is a smart and loving young girl that knows that whatever happens she’d be willing to fight for what’s right. Much like Elizabeth, she’s accepting of all blood status, but she’s more open about it than her twin sister. Evie has a bright personality but is also grounded by the realities of the world. However, when she transferred schools, the blonde had to learn to act impassive and bitter around people so that her father wouldn’t notice the girl wasn’t his valued puppet. Still, even though she has it in her to be like her twin sister, Evangeline chooses to shine brightly and share her laughter with her friends and those she cares about. Though, she can come off as a little flirty, but that isn’t her intention, she’d just a very open person. LIKES/DISLIKES: Evangeline has many of the same likes as her twin sister, mainly because they were brought up with the same hobbies. Giselle and Claudia worked hard to make the girls grew up almost identical to each other. However, Evie does take pleasure in music, mostly singing and playing the guitar, more so than her sister. She loves to be outdoors, in the high grounds, the game of quidditch and even whacking those bludgers. Maybe she’d sign up to be a reserve for the Ravenclaw team later? She doesn’t like that the purist views have begun to take over the Ministry. Why else would only students that were creatures and muggleborn be taken away? Evie doesn’t like the fact that she had to grow up away from her father because her father was such a jerk. Nor would she ever want to be part of an arranged marriage if she fell in love someone that wasn’t a pureblood. ASPIRATIONS: Evangeline wants to aspire to be the best version of herself, getting the best marks in school, but also having the kindness and courage to help her friends when they need her. When she graduates, Evie might even start her own plans to create an orphanage or some type of safe house for the students that might be struggling at home or need a place to live when they can’t go home. |

Evangeline was born Evangeline Kingston, but to save her from the difficult life the rest of her siblings would have to live through, her aunt had taken her to her place in Nice, France and referred to her as Evangeline Garcia-Taylor. No one would ever figure out that Evangeline was actually Noel Kingston’s daughter, maybe they’d just believe she was a doppelgänger of the man’s most prized daughter if they didn’t share the same last name? Evie grew believing she was an only child, not understanding why her ‘mother’ would just avoid the subject of her father. She was always a kind young girl, rescuing injured birds from their backyard and releasing them when they were ready to be out in the wild again. There wasn’t a bad bone in her body when she was younger.
As time went on, Evangeline learned self-defense in martial arts classes and even went to gymnastics classes. She spent a lot of time in the kitchen baking with her ‘mother’, never questioning the different choices in hobbies and activities she was doing. It wasn’t until Evie stumbled upon one of the recently opened letters Claudia accidentally dropped behind the couch that she began to understand what was happening. She was seven years old by then, and the blonde was seriously lost. Her whole life had been a lie until now. For days, the girl would barely speak a word to the woman she now knew wasn’t her mother, but her aunt even if they were identical twins, it wasn’t the same. Finally, Claudia had enough of how things were going and she sat the young girl down in the living room to ask her what was wrong. All Evie did was place the letter she’d seen on the table between them. That answered all of Claudia’s questions. She looked over at Evangeline and burst into tears, having to keep this all a secret had been too much even for her. When she finished crying, Claudia explained everything to her niece about why she’d taken the young girl away from her family. It was for the best of reasons, but Evangeline was still upset that her aunt had kept such a big secret from her this whole time.
Her first three years of schooling, Evangeline had begun at Beauxbatons. She didn’t know if she wanted to pursue the rest of her family, but in the middle of her first year, the blonde asked her aunt if she could transfer schools and see what her siblings were like. Claudia was hesitant, but she said that if Evie still wanted to go to Hogwarts by her fourth year, she’d be allowed to transfer as long as she took some professional acting classes. Acting classes that would better perfect her to act and be more like Elizabeth. The young blonde sighed and agreed to the terms her aunt had given her. By the end of third year, the two of them took a vacation to Britain to see if Evangeline would actually want to go to school around there. Claudia made sure to tell her sister to keep the rest of the family out of Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade for the couple days she and Evie were exploring. Their trip was shorter than Evangeline would have liked, but she made up her mind and decided that she wanted to be in Hogwarts for her fourth year.

For whatever reason Elizabeth was forced to go to this ridiculous ball, maybe a year ago she would’ve actually enjoyed such a party, but in this situation it wasn’t the most entertaining. The blonde hadn’t even tried to dress up to impress this time, her red dress was plain. If it wasn’t for the boldness of the color, she doubted anyone would notice her walking into the Great Hall. Maybe she was wrong and just believed she could walk through the school without being noticed, but she could make it so she wasn’t recognizable if she wanted to, but what was the purpose of that now? She thought the reason she had been left behind had been to do something for her father, but he didn’t send her a letter or anything. It must’ve been a punishment or something so she wouldn’t be home for the holidays or maybe her mother had interfered again?
Whatever the reason was for her staying at the school, Elizabeth was deeply grateful for the break from everything she had to do at home. While it still felt like both a blessing and curse to be stuck at the school for the holidays, she shouldn’t be stuck on that when there was a party going on. The blonde had stopped by the drink table to grab a glass of punch before walking off to the side of the room. Dancing. That’s what these parties were all about and Lizzie was not someone that would get up and dancing in front of a crowd. What a ridiculous idea? She shouldn’t have even thought about coming to the ball. There was no point.
As the blonde turned to leave, her eyes landed on someone she didn’t recall from any previous years. He was far too old to be a first year, so her guess was that he was a transfer student. Elizabeth glanced at his outfit. He was different from all the stuffy pureblood students at the school, that was a given from the way he dressed to this formal event. Lizzie looked away and moved to walk past him. New kid or not, she wasn’t in the mood to entertain these festivities anymore. She might as well go back to her dorm room and settle in for the night.
