The boy who became a monster
Eyes closed, he breathed in and out slowly. The summer air had a faint scent of damp moss mixed with something else. Something familiar and comforting and he knew. He’d know that smell anyway; a salty sea breeze floating in where it didn’t belong. Eyes fluttered open before he could even say a word. They moved through the corridor until they landed on him. The sight of him was the true coming home for Sebastien. Seeing Remy standing there was like suddenly being wrapped in a warm blanket. Sebastien felt the warmth bubble in the pit of his stomach where there was usually a dark, cold, and uncomfortable lump. He swallowed as Remy started rambling about something. It didn’t matter what he was rambling about. Sebastien didn’t care. The sound of his voice brought him back to warm days at the ocean, the song of the sea, that was Remy. A calm, soothing sea that Sebastien longed to drown in.
-- Just this entire paragraph because dangit! If you can't figure out why, Sebastien, you really are so stupid!!!!
