The Shacklebolt family is a prominent wizarding family with a long history of serving the Ministry of Magic in both Africa and the United Kingdom. Known for their loyalty, bravery, and strong moral compass, they have played a significant role in protecting the wizarding world. They represent the best of the wizarding community, embodying values of courage, loyalty, and a commitment to the greater good. Due to their family legacy and staunch involvement with the order, they are very adamant against the dark arts, and will not generally associate with or approve of darker inclined people/families.
Any family members known to associate with unsavory characters or practicing dark magic would likely be shunned and turned on. The Shacklebolts operate on a strict moral code that does not allow for such people, particularly with the influence and position of Kingsley Shacklebolt- former Order member and former Minister of Magic.
Ethnically, they have Zulu heritage and trace their roots back to South Africa. Although the largest branch near the coastal town of Durban, other branches may also be found throughout South Africa. In spite of being spread across two continents, the Shacklebolts are generally a very close knit bunch that make regular efforts to reconvene together in South Africa at least once a year.
The Shacklebolts are of high standing, but also have high expectations placed on them. Arranged marriages are looked down upon and generally discouraged, but it is up to each branch and family head to decide whether or not to arrange their children. As a whole, Shacklebolts are not purist, so generally, they would have no qualms about courting and marrying half bloods or muggleborns- so if you wanted a halfie Shacklebolt, that wouldn't be an issue! Remember that yes, whilst as a whole, Shacklebolts are quite light aligned and good, each family may differ slightly in values. However, those that stray too far from the light risk being cut off.

This branch of the family left the homeland and moved to the UK a couple of generations ago, and since have enjoyed much success in the wizarding world. The most prominent member is Kingsley Shacklebolt- an order member and former Minister of Magic. As stated, just because they are in the UK does not mean that they are seperated from the rest of the family- trips back to South Africa would still be fairly common, they would still have a strong relationship with those back in the homeland. Given Kingsley's success, I imagine there would be a lot of pressure on Shacklebolts here to be upstanding citizens, perform well in work and school, and flourish in their chosen paths.

The Shacklebolt family still left in the homeland. There are multiple family estates and branches scattered throughout South Africa, but the biggest is around Durban. Any children here would most likely have attended Uagadou unless there was reason to go to Hogwarts (which isn't necessarily unlikely considering all the Shacklebolts there).
Zinhle Shacklebolt has just relocated to the UK too for her marriage. I imagine Zinhle has many younger siblings, and now that she is in the UK, it stands to reason that some of her siblings may follow (She absolutely strikes me as a big sister, and this is a subtle hint for anyone wanting to make a student, she'd be a great big sis to them
