PERSONALITY: Teddy prides himself on being someone who is approachable, a true 'friend of the people.' He enjoys making people smile, and has gotten pretty good at hiding his own negativity. Growing up with no other real family other than his nan, Teddy has always tried to make other 'odd ones out' feel like they have a family, or a place to call home. He can be a bit sarcastic, and short when he's mad - but it takes a lot to truly make Teddy blow his top. At the end of the day, Teddy is a bit of a dork and really enjoys muggle sci-fi films. Don't tell anyone, but he's cosplayed a time or two. ASPIRATION: Teddy's trying to figure out if he is really where he is meant to be. He has a heart for kids and teens, would like to do something with them. He's not quite sure what that is, so for now he works at the Ministry. Perhaps he's meant to be a teacher, or a caretaker of sorts. Teddy knows he's still young, and hopes to completely figure his life out soon. In his personal life, Teddy would be happy to see himself get back together with Victoire. However, he knows that may not be possible, so he is open to see where fates lead him. CHILDHOOD. | Nan always joked that she knew Teddy was Andromeda's son mere moments after he was born. Not just because she'd seen the little lad born, but as shortly after his birth his black hair seemed to turn ginger. He'd inherited his mum's metamorphagus skills... much to Andromeda's dismay. Having the little lad lose his parents as a newborn was never in the plans. However, there was a village around the young boy and Teddy always knew love. Teddy was especially close with his godfather, Uncle Harry. There were weeks that Teddy seemed to spend more time at the Potter household than with his Nan. He treated the Potter kids like his own siblings, and viewed the extended Weasley family as if they were his own. His best friend was Victoire, who was the first person to make Teddy laugh so hard that milk shot out of his nose. There was worry that Teddy would inherit some form of lycanthropy from his father. But, it appears that other than a love of rarer meats, and a distrust of cats - Teddy for the most part had a pretty typical childhood. Beyond the metamorphagi skills, that he learned to use as he grew, Teddy had his first bit of accidental magic just before his 3rd birthday. He was so mad that Nan was letting him eat all the cake, that he caused the curtains set on fire. Nan was not too pleased at that. |
SCHOOL YEARS. | When Teddy's Hogwarts letter arrived, he was beyond ecstatic. He was so excited to go supply shopping with his Nan and Uncle Harry - and maybe only a little bit nervous. He was worried that his classmates would find his metamorphagus abilities to be freaky, and make fun of him. However, his fellow Hufflepuffs - as he was happily sorted into, like Mum - seemed to find his skill amusing. After awhile, he felt just like anyone else and was happy to be treated that way. Teddy was a pretty good student, and while studying wasn't always his favorite thing to do - he managed to be near the top of his class. He'd wanted to make his Nan and Uncle Harry proud, and prove to the nay-sayers that he was more than just 'some orphan Harry'd taken pity on'. It was because of this attitude, and the way that he was a role model to the younger students, that he was made a prefect and eventually the Head Boy. Becoming Head Boy gave Teddy a feeling of pride, and he was hopeful that his parents would've been proud of him. He didn't really date during his school years, until his 6th year - when his long-time best friend Victoire kissed him. He'd always loved her as a friend, as she'd gotten older, sure the thought had crossed his mind about dating her. She was amazing, after all. But he was scared about losing his friend. Thankfully, that relationship seemed to blossom and lasted 2 years until she broke up with him. It shattered him, but he took it as an opportunity try and grow. |
ADULTHOOD. | To be fair, when Teddy graduated from Hogwarts - he wasn't entirely sure what he wanted to do. For years, he'd thought he'd wanted to follow in his mum and Uncle Harry's footsteps and become an Auror. And while he'd taken the classes to qualify at Hogwarts, the closer to graduation Teddy got, the less he felt like he'd be good at being an Auror. Instead, he'd seen an opening with the Division of International Magical Co-op and Magical Education as an assistant. Over the last couple of years, Teddy had worked his way up in the department, and had recently joined the team at the Underaged Witch and Wizard Rehabilitation Center. While he has enjoyed what he has been doing - lately, he has been feeling like he's not quite where he belongs. He's enjoying working with underaged wixen, he's been wondering if there is a way that he can make a bigger impact. Ted's just not quite sure what that will look like yet. On the personal side, Ted has been as single as a pringle since his break up with Victoire. He's tried to date a few witches, but nothing has really worked out. They seemed to either be into him to get closer to his Godfather, or were just absolutely nuts. Truth be told, he's always held a candle for Victoire - and would be over the moon if they found their way back together. He's just a bit of a romantic. |

dom leaned back in her chair, yawning softly as she stretched her arms out. she'd been attempting to study for the better part of the last two hours and honestly, she'd probably read the same sentence fourteen times. she slammed her textbook shut, deciding that it was probably best to give up on studying for the night. dom reached for her bag, pulling out the last letter from her sister and giving it another read through. sure, there was probably better ways for her to stay in touch - but there was something about writing letters that made the young witch happy. she was glad to hear that victoire was doing well, even though dom missed having her sister so close.
sighing softly, she set vic's letter down and picked up her own pen, trying to find the right words. she knew with graduation coming at the end of the year, she needed to tell vic about her struggle with her feelings. that if there would be anyone who could understand it would be her sister. but, dom just didn't know how to say it. oh hey by the way, i don't like just boys, i actually think girls are pretty swell? dom thought to herself, trying to keep from internally rolling her eyes. it couldn't be this difficult. dom was just over thinking things, right?
