CHILDHOOD. | On a cool, autumnal day, both Lucy and her twin sister Molly were born to Percy and Audrey Weasley in St Mungo's Hospital. The twin gene seemed to run in this family and so the couple were not too surprised. Growing up, Lucy always seemed to struggle a little bit. She was a headstrong little girl who was determined to get her way. As a result of this, she had frequent squabbles with her father (who was notoriously strict). Lucy was no stranger to being grounded or banned from going to Honeydukes. Regardless, this was just a form of "tough love". Percy often played the 'bad cop' whilst Audrey struggled to hide her soft spot for Lucy. Lucy enjoyed hearing all of her father's stories about his ministry adventures. She set her aim high from a young age, and she found herself filled with endless ambition to leave her mark on this country. Her parents often found her parading around the front room in her mother's high heels, pretending to give speeches about goblins. She would also demand their attention by putting on regular "shows" for them, which consisted of her screaming the lyrics to her favourite Weird Sisters songs whilst they pretended to enjoy it. Lucy stayed in quite regular contact with her cousins. She often visited The Burrow for playdates and would once again try to assert herself as the "group leader" (which did not always end well considering some of the children had a similar disposition!). |
SCHOOL YEARS. | It was inevitable that Lucy and Molly would be accepted into Hogwarts. The Weasleys were practically a household name, so much so that the sorting hat recognised the girls. It was clear that the girls belonged in Gryffindor. During her time at Hogwarts, Lucy found herself to have quite an aptitude for Charms and Potions. She found that her magical prowess manifested itself best in these practical based subjects. From her first year, it became obvious that going into healing was her destiny. Whilst she wasn't as successful in subjects such as History of Magic ("what's the point, dad told me all I need to know anyway"), she considered herself to be quite an intellectual and had a passion for subjects that challenged her perceptions of the world (such as Defence Against Dark Arts). She joined the debate team and lead her team in several successful debates, including one revolving around the Equality Program. Lucy had a few boyfriends in her time at Hogwarts and found herself particularly found of a man named Theodore Brooks. Unfortunately, due to her passion for travelling and her desire to follow in her Uncle Bill's footsteps with a gap year, the relationship fizzled. Lucy and Theodore separated prior to her graduation in June 2017. |
ADULTHOOD. | Immediately after graduation, Lucy began to tour the world. She spent a lot of time studying different types of healing magic in areas such as Egypt and Australia. She met several elderly wizards in Africa in 2019, who became much loved mentors. She continued to write to them about her endeavours after leaving. In 2020, Lucy decided to return home. It was finally time for her to set her lifelong dream in motion. The first step was moving into a place of her own. She decided to look around London and found a quaint little apartment in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It was near St. Mungos and, more importantly, had great connections to her family. Despite all their time apart, Lucy adored her family (particularly her grandmother Molly, and her Auntie Ginny). She never felt alone knowing that they were just over in the Ministry. One of her first "adult decisions" was to buy a little crup named Bella. Bella resembled a shih-tzu, with curly ringlet fur and a soft bubbly personality. Then it was time to take the leap. She finally applied for a trainee role as a Healer for the Urgent Care team at St Mungo's Hospital. After all her travels and her experience with witches and wizards across the world, her passion for caring for others had grown so much stronger. It just seemed like the perfect path for her to take. |

Benjamin walked through the courtyard, feeling the bitter winds of November gently caress his cheeks. It was cold. He could almost hear his mother's voice in his head: "Make sure you wear your scarf!". He smiled to himself and pulled his Gryffindor Quidditch supporter's scarf a little closer around his face.
He made his way inside, tucking himself into one of the neighboring corridors. Phew. It was much warmer in here. His cat began to slink around his ankles and purr at the sudden new warmth.
"I guess it's too frosty for both of us out there, huh? Nevermind. As long as they don't cancel quidditch." he muttered to the cat and slipped his notepad out of his robes.
It was time to start making a list of things to buy people for Christmas. Obviously, the top of his list was his cat, closely followed by his parents. His parents were still pretty young, and he was beginning to wonder if they might want to go for a night out with him. And... then he realised he probably wouldn't be served alcohol. Damn. His plans were thwarted. He sighed and flipped a page in his notepad. All mothers like a hand-made gift, right? He began to contemplate what he could make his mother that year. Art was not his forté, but he had recently read a book in the library about the muggle art of Origami. Benjamin considered that perhaps an origami bouquet might be appropriate for this year's gift.
