There was that grin that Victoire knew so well. Actually, it almost made her want to cry. With all of the terrible issues facing her adult life - Victoire was emotional at the memories of just being a kid. Especially being a kid with Lily and the others, enjoying the world and exploring the family traditions together.

With Teddy there, too. But that was also gone.

When Lily started her run again, Vic picked up her own pace moving toward her. Not a full run, but still faster than a leisurely walk. Vic held her arms out for Lily as soon as she arrived, and gave her cousin a tight squeeze. "This is definitely the most important," Vic agreed, crushing the girl in the hug. "I swear you get taller every time I see you," Vic shook her head.

She pulled back, but not too much, keeping her hands on Lily's shoulders. "And how's Quidditch? Harry and Gin must be so excited," she questioned happily.

Lily said she inherited her dad's wobbly knees and Vic laughed, "Well, babes, I wasn't going to say it," she teased. Vic looked down at her cousins knees too, to add to the joke, but truly she thought that Lily was radiant. She wouldn't be surprised if people would be falling all over her once she was old enough to start thinking about romance, if she even chose to. There was something absolutely magnetic about the redhead. "The knees help keep the broom from sliding off, then?" she joked again, going along with Lily's comment.

Of course, the conversation moved to Quidditch, as it should. Lily's face lighting up brought Victoire more joy than she could explain. "Oh, you're going to smash it. I don't know who's on that team, but I know damn well it's not you," she encouraged. Lily asked if she had played and Vic shook her head, "No, no, no. I was too busy being Head Girl and keeping all my cousins in line," she smirked.

She stepped to the side of Lily and held an arm out to her cousin to take, "let's head into the shack, shall we?"

Lily said she didn't even think about the knees keeping the broom from sliding off, which made Vic smile. Vic wasn't always a jokester, but it was easy with her cousin Lily. The girl was all fire, and whatever else Lily had to offer the world, Vic couldn't wait to see what it was. Lily's loud and uncontrollable laughter was like a warm ray of sunlight on Vic's face. She giggled a little, reaching out to pat her cousin on the shoulder.

Lily asked what being head girl was like, and Vic grinned, a glimmer in her eye. "It was some of the best days of my life," Vic admitted. I really enjoyed being able to look out for people. Plus, you know me, Victoria leaned closer and dropped her voice a little in volume. I just love telling people what to do, she winked at her cousin. Lily would well know that Vic was often a little more of a parent around her cousin's than a friend at times. Well, I can't wait to hear more about your games, Vic commented.

As the two headed toward the shack, Vic had to jog a little to keep up with the young girl. Is that a challenge, Lily? Vic asked, starting to pick up her pace.
