Lottie found herself eager for any excuse to travel to the small wizarding village that sat nestled in the shadow of the castle of the mountain. Not only did she have a nostalgic outlook on the charming little village, but now that Maeve was in attendance at Hogwarts, Lottie loved the opportunity to see her daughter and check in. Letters were nice, but they weren’t enough. And since Maeve was only a first year and too young to regularly attend the Hogsmeade trips that the older students got to enjoy, Lottie had to wait for special events to visit her first year.

However, this evening she had planned to meet Diego. Since Maeve was at school Lottie had been spending her time split between working extra hours and continuing to get to know her boyfriend. The two of them had been together for 2 months now and everything felt so dreamy. They got along better and seemed more compatible than the young healer could have ever dreamed up. While she waiting for him to arrive, she wondered vaguely through the Pumpkin Patch. The sun was setting over the lake and cast a dreamy glow over the patch. Every so often a group of fireflies started to make their lights visible in the growing shadows.
