LILY POTTER
TWELVE SEPT 20 2007 STUDENT GRYFFINDOR SECOND YEAR HALF-BLOOD DEVON, ENGLAND | PERSONALITY: Lily is a sweet, caring girl with a heart of gold. She strives to ensure everybody around her are happy, comfortable and the environment is as warm and welcoming as the burrow. She loves her family very much, and looks forward to seeing them every single at Hogwarts to the point where she is constantly asking everyone where she might find Albus, since he's in a different house. This positive personality comes with one that can also be a major downfall, for Lily has become quite a people pleaser and doesn't like to disappoint people. It brings her down whenever she can't make someone happy, or has annoyed them with her optimism. ASPIRATION: Lily is only 12, so I don't really know what she would want to be able to do. Her main priority is making friends with all, and surviving Hogwarts day to day given the nature of how her parents tenure was at the castle. She has a long term goal of making a secret club. | LIKES: - Her family, particularly fond of her brothers - Baking and cooking, especially with Molly - Everything quidditch - Magical and non-magical creatures, particularly cats - DIY projects DISLIKES: - Gobstones, she doesn't like the way the ink spits at you - Blood supremacy - Peeves - Dark magic - Unwanted attention (came with being a Potter) |
FAMILY MEMBERS. | Harry Potter (father), 44, Head Auror ? Ginevra Potter (née Weasley), 43, Quidditch Reporter ? James Potter (older brother), 16, Hogwarts Student Albus Potter (older brother), 14, Hogwarts Student |
CHILDHOOD. | Lily is the youngest Potter child. Therefore, most of her life has been spent being well known and being dotted on by family, friends, and admirer's alike. Her childhood was relatively happy, and even though her father spends most of his time at the Ministry he still works hard to ensure that Lily got the attention and guidance she desperately needed from him. Her relationship with her older brothers is the one that feels unbounded, however. She spent all of her childhood up until they both left for Hogwarts at different times playing with them. Her passion for Quidditch came from them both as well. Lily loved to annoy them, making hand made gifts for them, and yearned for their protective stance on the only daughter of Harry and Ginny. Lily's relationship with her mother is equally good, they share the mutual understanding of what it is like to be the only young girl in the family. She spends a lot of time at the Burrow with her grandmother, Molly, and has picked up a passion for baking and cooking just like she did. Molly dots on her much like she did Harry, considering that she's the only girl. Lily also enjoyed going to Hogsmeade with her entire family, and if you didn't get her some sugar quills you'd best be prepared to hear about it later on. |
SCHOOL YEARS. | Lily's first year at Hogwarts felt a little behind. This was because she was the last Potter to attend schooling. On the boat ride, she saw the wonder that was Hogwarts for the first time, and her eyes sparkled with great admiration when they approached. Her woe of being the last Potter child was promptly washed away when she got to uncover all of Hogwarts small hidden secrets on her own with a select group of friends that she chose for herself. However, Lily quickly realized that perhaps the other students that surround her only wanted to be her friend for her family name. Although there was only a few of them, she still felt disheartened by this revelation for some weeks of her first year. It impacted her studies, but with the right support from her brothers and a few letters home, she managed to pick herself back up again. Lily was quick to join the Quidditch Team for both her passion of the sport, and for the fact that it would help her make her own name for herself outside of being Harry Potter's only daughter. She has since then been a lot more careful about making friends. |

Ethan's insights to his social standing made Everly have many questions. Mostly, she wanted to know if they were more similar than she would have liked. "So are your blossoming relationships genuine, or just to show face?" She had to remark that question in another jesting tone. Everly wouldn't want Ethan to think that she's taking any slights at him. Afterall, this was just to know if they had similar intentions with the circles they surrounded themselves with. Another sip of tea followed to try to mask her facial expressions.
Of course she's seen the Quidditch games, and even if she was taking advantage of the quiet recluse of the library that would permit her a more focused study during the games - Everly still heard all about Ethan's feats. Their peers loved to tell her about them, in fact. Because they were related. "I don't wish to be treated any differently on or off the field. To do otherwise only gives me the impression that your interactions with me are only a facade. Besides, I am not a doll." She did her best to not sound so offended, but, it was there. Everly has always hated the way that females have been treated largely as delicate little flowers and she wanted to prove society - and perhaps now, Ethan - wrong.
She had to sit in silence for a moment. Everly didn't want to feel annoyed at him, but it couldn't be helped. She then, to further her guard, completely ignored the remark about their shared family. She did not want to talk about her parents' issues, especially not with Ethan.
"Well, you know now. And I trust you won't tell anybody about it. I'll know if you do, you're the only one who knows besides the chosen mentor." she could only pout. Ethan put her into a vulnerable position and she didn't like it. It made her skin crawl. Of course Everly wouldn't be so free to talk about it with just about anybody. But, she respected the choice to not continue talking about her choice to pursue Animagus studies any further. The less he knew about it, the better.
As he spoke about this apparent direction he wanted to bring their family in, she finished off the remainder of her tea. Everly let it warm her throat, and calm her spirits. Ethan wasn't really doing all that great of a job of making her feel confident enough around him. She knew better than to point that out, and had to carefully think about how to navigate her response to all that he was saying.
"Fangs. What are you, a vampire?" Everly jested, again. It allowed her more time to consider her next words. "As for my support, I can't lie to you. I don't want to be a fairy princess that makes you look better." She felt it necessary to say that, given his earlier remark about her being a porcelain doll. It would take some work to forgive that one. "And there is foundations that you have to build. There is words, and then there is actions. You don't know me very well, and that's fine. But I'm not someone to sit idly by and stand for any sort of injustice to our family." Everly had been thinking long about her post Hogwarts options, especially given how it was so near. Settling on the idea of being a Hit Wizard may not be something Ethan agreed with, so she was careful in her words to try to figure him out. She figured some leeway won't hurt, so her final comment was, "No other cousin cared for me. Or my mother. You have that going for you."
