Chadwick Kingsley (1946) founded Kingsley Brooms in 1970, shortly after marrying his wife, Margaret, at the age of twenty-four years old. Most thought he was crazy and that his broom lines would never be a hit. Chadwick and Margaret are Durmstrang Alumni, purebloods, who fell in love during their teenage years but did not marry until their mid-twenties as Chadwick was traveling to learn more about different magical wood cores. They had three children and built the Kingsley Estate which now stands in a secret, magical section of Moss, Norway. Margaret passed away a number of years ago.

Chadwick the Second was groomed by his father to eventually take over Kingsley Brooms ahead of his two younger brothers. He met his darling wife, Breeland and knew instantly that she was the one for him. She won him over with her excellent baking skills. Both are purebloods, though Bree did not attend Durmstrang and they met once Chadwick was already working for his father. They have three boys and are much more accepting of non-purebloods than Chadwick the First.

Warwick Kingsley is the second child of Chadwick and Margaret and the more diplomatic sort. Although he is not meant to ever take charge of Kingsley Brooms, he supports his brother in every business endeavour. The two are close and raised their children together. Warwick met his wife, Kaori, abroad. She had gotten herself into a pickle and Warwick came to the rescuing, literally, flying in a a noble steed (broom) to help her out. They are both purebloods and accepting of non-purebloods, however, the predicament Kaori found herself in caused the two of them to be cursed in a sense. Their children are all exactly seven years apart as Kaori could only get pregnant every seven years. Despite that, their sons are close.

Dominic is the youngest of Chadwick the First's three boys and his relationship with his brothers is different. He's a bit jealous of Chadwick the second for inheriting the company and initially did not wish to be a part of any of it. Eventually, he did recover from this and was trusted with taking Kingsley Brooms to America. He settled in New York for awhile where he met his wife, Sorla. They are both purebloods and only had one child due to their age when they met. Eventually, Dominic moved back to the UK and settled into working with his brothers.

Nathaniel is the middle son of Chadwick the Second and Breeland Kingsley. Being incredible intelligent, Nate did not wish to remain shackled to making brooms and wished to pursue other opens. He eventually settled at the Ministry of Magic working for his rival, Ragnar Keeling, and creating exciting new magics for the work while exploring ancient magics and being allowed to experiment and solve puzzles. Once the Senior Undersecretary to the Minister, Nate caused a mass imprisonment of muggleborns and creatures through his attempts to push equality for all. Kingsley Brooms was established in Mosshidden, Norway in 1970 by Chadwick Davis Kingsley the first. Before the founding, witches and wizards of Norway had no access to Norweigan built brooms and had to import all their brooms and quidditch supplies from various companies in England. It was the dream of Kingsley to provide his homeland with quality products and make Kingsley Brooms a household name in Norway
The first brooms established by the company were Rain and Thunderstorm. They were very basic model brooms without any bells or whistles like high-quality racing brooms but they became very popular with parents looking to purchase their child's first broom.
Rain is made from the papery bark of the white birch tree of North America. When used properly, birch bark is very strong and pliable as well as highly waterproof. Native Americans have been building canoes from this substance for years. The broom is equipped with both a braking and cushioning charm. It has a slow to medium acceleration, steady speeds and high endurance to travel long distances. Because it is made of birch bark, the broom has a whitish appearance.
Thunderstorm is a similar broom made from the gray birch of North America, specifically the older trees to give the broom that gray, thunderstorm cloud look to it. The idea came when Chadwick Davis Kingsley II was having a difficult time fitting his son, who was at an awkward stage in life, to a generic broom and thus decided to custom fit a broom for him that would be able to maintain its balance and flight while supporting the awkward height and disproportion weight of a teenage boy. The Kingsley Brooms Custom Fits was developed and has since become highly popular with the rich and famous in Norway.
To request a Custom Fit Kingsley Broom, appointments are required as well as extensive interviews to discover the customer's passions and ideas for their perfect broom, as well as a flying test to see how the customer can handle a broomstick. All other brooms are available at the Kingsley Brooms Outlet store located in Oslo, Norway.
Kingsley Brooms partners with Durmstrang Institute in providing internships for students looking to obtain a career in broom making.
