A bright voice had the girl turning, spying the very pretty girl from Slytherin. They'd been at school together just under two months now, and Kahwihta was pretty sure her name was Trinity! It helped that they shared classes. Smiling widely, although with the sheet of course Trinity would not have been able to see, she nodded, holding her arms up in what she thought was a very ghostly pose, though she'd never seen the ghosts here at Hogwarts do it. "Boo!" It was her way of confirming the girl's words. "Hi Trinity. I like your...zombie face." Kahwihta replied, unsure exactly what Trinity was dressed as, but she certainly fit the theme.

Nodding enthusiastically, again feeling the pressure of social etiquette lifted somewhat due to the anonymity of her outfit, she glanced around. "It's very cool. I've never seen moving skeletons, do you think they're real? Like, actually used to be alive people?" What a morbid thought indeed, though she was too young to comprehend the full implications of that. Realising that the snake would have no idea who she was, Kahwihta quickly lifted the front of her sheet, peeking out from under it. "Oh! It's Kahwihta. From Gryffindor." She smiled awkwardly, before quickly ducking back under the safety of her costume.

Kahwihta let out a quiet giggle at the other's antics, she was more playful than the lion cub had realised. Of course, outside of her few people, namely Enzo, Lucas and Marcia (though the latter two were much older), the young girl tended to stick mostly to herself, both feeling awkward when chatting with others, as well as not feeling a need to branch out too much.

She nodded seriously as her eyes followed the skeletons, wondering where they would have gotten the people if so. Did they just magically become moving skeletons on their own? Were they simply enchanted by the professors? She'd have to ask Marcia about it, the sixth year knew everything, at least as far as Kahwihta was concerned. And suddenly, the Gryffindor was peering closer at Trinity. She didn't have the money? For some reason, the thought surprised her; she was always so positive, kind, for some reason Kahwihta had just assumed her to be well off. "I didn't have money either! This is actually my bed sheet. I hope the house elves don't mind the holes I made..." As if to demonstrate her point, she poked her fingers through the roughly cut eye holes, feeling a bit more comfortable around Trinity at the revelation. "Did your parents not want to send you money?" It was a risky question, but she was young enough to not quite understand how risky, her voice laced with childish innocence. "Who did your makeup? It looks really cool." She took a half step closer, leaning in to admire the zombie job.

Kahwihta nodded firmly. As far as she was concerned, everything could be fixed with magic. "I'm sure they do. If not, I don't mind having holes in my sheets!" Really, it would make no difference to the Gryffindor, who was used to the rougher beds of the orphanage. Honestly, Hogwarts was luxurious compared to those!

Now, Kahwihta wasn't the best when it came to emotions, but one thing she was familiar with was feeling lost. And peering at Trinity, the way her hand moved to her chin, the way her eyes clouded, the Gryffindor couldn't help but feel that Trinity looked very lost indeed. "They didn't reply? Maybe they were busy?" She offered hesitantly. Weren't parents always meant to reply to their kids? Do things like send them money for costumes? She herself had no idea; she didn't have anyone to write to in the first place. 

"Woah, you did it yourself?" Her hands clapped together as she leaned in, peering closer. Eyes taking in the details, she shook her head. "I've never tried makeup before. I would have no idea where to start." She'd certainly admired the older students that wore it though. It seemed like something that required a lot of talent. "I feel like if I tried I'd look like a clown! Though maybe that would be a good thing for an event like this..."
