KI-HAN SOL
19 MAY 6, 2000 GRYFFINDOR GRADUATE SECOND YEAR HIT-WIZARD TRAINEE (in december he goes up a year) MUGGLEBORN HOGSMEADE | PERSONALITY: Protective, strong-headed, leader-type, fights for what's right, often gets in trouble, tries to do good by others, confident, supportive, left-handed, became somewhat of a street-rat, can become rather reckless and fights for what he believes is justice and right. Set-back by the loss of his brother and others, he tries to find his path currently. ASPIRATION: Wants to fight for justice and serve it right and would continue supporting the Ministry. Perhaps become an Auror with time, or continue down the path of a Ministry worker. | LIKES: - Weird food combinations - justice to be served - training physical skills - those he calls family - freedom - prefers to fight DISLIKES: - Those who look down upon others - The wizarding war(s) - His childhood - Sitting around doing nothing - Theoretical work - Doesn't trust many - Not knowing where his brother is (or if he still lives) - Losing the girl he loved |
FAMILY MEMBERS. | Father, murdered for involvement in the Wizarding war. Ties unknown. Bloodstatus unknown. Mother, murdered for involvement in the Wizarding war. Ties unknown. Bloodstatus unknown. Younger brother, Geon Sol, 16 |
CHILDHOOD. | Ki-Han's parents were part of the last wizarding war. While they had survived well into both their children being born, thinking all was good and over with, they were later killed, leaving the children behind. Their parents had been involved with the war though it's unknown what side they had been on, or what they had been doing. There seemed to be no documentation of anything mentioning them, forgotten and lost. In turn, the two boys were forgotten and lost, ending up in the shadowed, slum town of Seoul's big city, Guryong Village. The two brothers barely got on living like this but somehow managed. Ki-Han being the older one by three years claimed all responsibility, making sure that his younger brother would at least have some form of happiness. Was he successful? Probably not but all he could do is try, try and try for him. Over the years they were taken in by people living in the slums, being put to work and picking up street skills here and there. Eventually, Ki-Han would then get a letter from an owl, declaring that he was invited to a .. magic school. That surely explained some of the weird things that had happened by accident over the years. |
SCHOOL YEARS. | During his school years, he was grateful to have come to Hogwarts. He could eat plenty, he could sleep well and he could feel the rest in his soul while back home things were nothing short of terrible. Fighting for his life, and for the little things he had, had caused him to be untrusting of many. Over time, he still didn't trust everyone but had grown to like plenty of people, making friends easily enough and showing his better side to them. At school, he still preferred classes that let him do anything physical but eventually found his solace in Quidditch. Ki-han played for the Gryffindor team for years as a beater, excelling in the sport (he could've easily made it into a quidditch league) and eventually becoming both a prefect and the captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team. He'd had a couple of romances, significant enough to remember at least, but the most important person in his life would always be his younger brother. And when the muggleborn/creature prisons came around the two got separated. Ki-han vowed to make it out and survive by cooperating enough and continuing to spend his time training in the prisons. What else was he supposed to do? They couldn't break his childhood spirit so they couldn't break his current spirit either. He'd been through worse, making it out alive and with little repercussions. Rather than repeat the school year he worked hard with the extra time to graduate, play quidditch and look for his brother. Unfortunately.. the latter was never found again. |
ADULTHOOD. | As Ki-han had successfully graduated, he first looked for his younger brother. He had hopes that Geon would show up somewhere, anywhere that would make sense but he never did. At first, Ki-han was sure he'd be fine, and that everything would work out well so he continued living. The graduate had taken up a part-time job at the book shop in Hogsmeade village, Flourish & Blotts, in the hope of finding his brother one day come into the shop since it was such a heavily visited place. Never happened. He ran into plenty of other familiar faces though while working there, as well as new students to remind him he'd gotten old. With half a year passing by, Ki-han finally got himself a quaint little place in Hogsmeade and also applied for his trainee ship in the Ministry, finally joining their ranks in the Hit-wizard department. He'd always meant to become an Auror but the fit didn't seem quite right at the time, instead investing his time in the Hit-wizard ranks. He'd spent most of his time doing physical activities while visiting a shrink every now and again for his mental health. People seemed to keep leaving him, leaving the male more and more by himself. From a social butterfly, known for who he was in school, to someone who'd kind of lost his brother and in the end himself. |

Hangyeom couldn't help but grin, sitting forward in his seat. "Well then, isn't she just so lucky to have you? I'm just going to have to assume that for now. I could always ask her next time I see her, you know?" He'd probably forget about it, honestly, and wouldn't go to asking about intricate details. Hangyeom didn't want to know that much. When his slightly older cousin turned the conversation back to him he scoffed. "As if. I'm harder to match so nicely." Was it envy? Or was Hangyeom rather happy he wasn't arranged off? He couldn't imagine the exact pressure his cousin was going through. Or anyone else who went through the same ordeal. "Perhaps I should suggest an owl-order bride." But that meant sharing everything.
"I'm sure you will, and I'll be waiting." He didn't mind paying if he had to. Not today though, today was his cousin's treat. The younger one could take advantage of being younger. The same way those younger than him could try that.
Upon the question, he fought the urge to shrug. Was he happy? Was there anything not to be happy about? "Of course. All the freedom in comparison to being stuck in school?" Was it really rainbows and bursts of sunshine? "What's there not to enjoy?" He wasn't going to lay out the underlying problems, or the way their family worked. "I could do with a bit of a break, I suppose."
