This ad is for a potential romance at most and a self-discovery journey at least. The character is meant to be the crux of Xaden's wrestling with his own identity and his coming to terms with his sexuality as a part of himself. I will highlight that I am far more interested in seeing their relationship as people play out than I am in the ship itself. This could start out as a crush that evolves into more or settles into a very close friendship. This character could end up being Xaden's partner or someone who he admires/looks up to or both. Xaden's character direction is that of a young man working through the transitions into adulthood, and this character would be one piece in that.
Xaden is a hardworking, sarcastic, and intensely artistic individual. He feels awkward in his own skin and uses his art as his main form of expression. I'd like for this character to juxtapose that. He would be more confident in who he is and might be more academic, more social, or more athletic. I'd appreciate if his interests were at least slightly different than Xaden's hyper-focus on arts. He would be someone with a good deal of charisma- the 'Prince Charming' archetype on the surface. I'd be ecstatic if that was only on the surface and he was much more real underneath that- perhaps struggling with aspects of his own identity and growth.
Other than those points, this character is up for interpretation. His blood status, background, and so on is completely open. I've suggested Seonghwa as his PB because he's honestly just a beautiful human. He and Xaden's PB also have a lovely friendship irl and have jokingly 'shipped' themselves as the 'mom and dad' of their band. Using him as a PB is negotiable.
