FAMILY MEMBERS. | Mother: Japanese Ministry worker (wizengamot). Father: Japanese Ministry worker (auror). Two year older brother: Attended Uagadou, currently lives and works in Egypt. Four year Younger brother: Attends Mahoutokoro |
CHILDHOOD. | Mirai is originally from Hokkaido, Japan. As her parents are both Ministry workers, her father especially being the heavy hitter who brought home the money, she barely saw them a lot. Her older brother was sent overseas first so she didn't get to see him much. She was taken to neighboring areas, specifically Tsurui every year once winter would come around. The idea was for her to meet the red-crowned crane's as often as possible since they were the symbol for luck. The more luck the girl received, the better. After all, she'd need it. Growing up she was taught about their history and ties to the Maede clan, as well as the magical world and how her future would exist of her making her own. Once her younger brother was born she had a sibling to play with, but he was more of a baby so at best she could take care of him. Before being sent away to another part of the world (like the parents do with each child) she was sent to Mahoutokoro for the first 3 years of her education. There was no way they were going to let Mirai sit around the house and play while she could get magical education. These three years at Mahoutokoro were rather casual. Nothing really crazy happened and there always seemed to be a bit of time to play around as younger children. Education was very important though, her parents expecting the highest grades and the best of effort. She knew that her transfer was coming though, the pre-education just being a test. |
YEAR 01. | This was a rather big year for Mirai. She was sent off to Hogwarts all by herself, the Maeda's believing their children should be independent and be able to fetch for themselves. Only ask when ABSOLUTELY no other options were available. So, Mirai was a bit more on the anxious side, switching from magic school Mahoutokoro to magic school Hogwarts. Thankfully she was taught English, getting by just fine enough. She'd always ask the professors to be sure she was getting things right. |
YEAR 02. | Everything was still equally new to Mirai but just adding more things to her plate, continuing from the last year. At best she got to see her mother during events but she was told she wouldn't be going home for short holidays. Her parents were too busy, she was to be strong and independent and practically live her life by herself at Hogwarts. One might think it quite cruel for a child but she was well told before hand. Misaki was a traveller before she knew it. |
YEAR 03. | This year her younger brother started his Mahoutokoro education. Mirai was still trying to navigate the school but thankfully it was going a little better. This year was also the start of elective classes but she chose random classes off the list, not knowing what to pick. Misaki chose ancient runes and care of magical creatures. |
YEAR 04. | Slow but surely Mirai was growing up now, relatively alright if you asked her. She missed her family, only getting to really them during a long holiday, staying the short ones at Hogwarts. She switched out ancient runes for arithmancy this time around, picking care of magical creatures again. Being in COMC reminded her of the days back in Tsurui, seeing the wild animals living freely. |
YEAR 05. | Her parents were starting to make sure that Mirai would know her future plan. While the girl didn't quite think about that yet she was told to think about it, to think of what her future would hold. Mirai might've started stressing about it for a bit, getting along well enough in her studies so far. Among many other things that might matter to a girl at age fifteen. |
YEAR 06. | Mirai had decided that she too wanted to go into the Ministry, though it was kind of an obvious choice with her family being a line of Ministry folk, and the clan back in the days having such ties. She decided to join the magical law classes, as well as try to soak up as much information necessary to become an Auror. The question would eventually become which Ministry? But for now the path was clear enough. |
YEAR 07. | She had debated on starting an internship early or not, deciding not to do so and simply going through her last year at Hogwarts. Her mother had helped her get a place in Hogsmeade in advance, so joining the British Ministry was kind of decided for her. All Mirai had to do was finish school with the necessary grades, graduate and roll into the Ministry of Magic. |
ADULTHOOD. | Now that she had graduated, and rolled into the Ministry of Magic as an auror trainee, she could finally get out of the castle more. You'd expect her to rush back to Japan, or go find her siblings but she wasn't allowed to. Her focus laid on the Ministry now, making a career. During the time of the attacks on the Wizarding world, Mirai was sure to make herself useful in some way to the Auror department. As much as she was allowed to put herself in danger, anyway. Every Hogsmeade festival she'd sign herself up, either as a patrol volunteer or just a volunteer at the festival. Mirai liked people as they kind of became her crutch. She didn't like being alone, as much as she had been already. The trainee ship at the Ministry took a certain height in 2017-2018 and going into her third year things didn't seem to be that much calmer. |
RP SAMPLE (200 words min.)
Yone debated internally if she should talk to Jae-seong about the simple thoughts of her brothers. How close of a relationship should they have to remain professional? What her brother was doing wasn't scandalous or anything but it was still family, meaning it was somewhat personal. "It's nothing serious, nothing to be worried about." Not too worried at least. Yone tried to shut herself up, the animagi trying to shove the thought back into her mind. "What do you think about buying a cheap house, like a 500-dollar one, but it's so cheap because someone died in it or it's haunted by ghosts? Or because it's a remote place and the town is trying to grow their population?" Probably an odd question if he didn't know the reasoning for asking.
She didn't expect to receive the compliment from him, smiling at him. "Oh, thank you," Yone bowed her head to him as a thank you. "I'm not sure yet if I'd like to be a professor." It'd depend on the availability of the job, and if she'd even consider becoming a professor really. "I might prefer being an assistant instead. So far I've enjoyed my time as your assistant. How are you finding the job so far?" He might've absolutely loathed it.
The girl began to move towards the transfiguration classroom again, this time with half a stack of papers. Not that it made a crazy difference, as long as they didn't fall to the ground yet again. Did that mean she had to sort them out again?
