PERSONALITY: As the youngest of his family, Youngbin is so often ignored and overlooked. So instead of being the pride of the family like what his parents wanted, Youngbin is the exact opposite. Instead of trying to make his family proud, Youngbin goes out of his way to rebel and pissed them off. While he is intelligent, he doesn't put any effort into his studies, and he's content with just passing.
Like most Pureblood children, Youngbin is educated in the hopes that he'll grow up to be well-rounded and charming. But in reality, he often comes across as crass, insensitive and unfriendly, which he's fine about. He's somewhat of a loner, as socializing tires him off and gets on his nerves. He's very short tempered, which probably means people tend to steer away from him, if they didn't want to engage in any confrontation. And despite growing up with a very purist ideology drilled into him, Youngbin doesn't judge based on blood status. However, he is very judgmental.
ASPIRATION: Like what his parents often said, Youngbin is intelligent enough, but he never bother to put efforts in anything. His grades are decent - at least enough to pass his classes - but because of his family's lack of expectation of him, Youngbin never really has any long term aspirations. He's happy enough depending on his family's fortune and connections. He knows he's set even without having to work hard, and he plans on using his privilege as much as he can. | Please ONLY list your likes and dislikes. An explanation is NOT required.

CHILDHOOD. | Youngbin was born in Seoul, South Korea Shi-woo and Sun-hee Chae. He was the youngest, and was quite unexpected. With his parents already given birth to a son - an heir - Youngbin's birth wasn't as celebrated or anticipated.
This pretty much became the whole theme of Youngbin's childhood. Being the youngest, his parents barely paid attention to him. Most of the time they were too busy with his older brother. While there are certain expectations that he had been required to follow, the control they had on Youngbin was considerably lax in comparison to how they so often fussed over his older brother. His childhood was normal, he was allowed to play around with children his age - although his parents did have to make sure his playmates were from appropriate families with appropriate upbringings as well. He wasn’t paraded around like his brother during important family meetings, dinners, galas, or balls. It was simply, “Right, and this is Youngbin.” But despite the lack of attention given to him by his parents, as a child Youngbin didn’t mind, especially as soon as he found out that meant he had more freedom to do what he wants, say what he wants and act however he wants.

SCHOOL YEARS. | By the time he was old enough to start school, there was no fuss in deciding whether Youngbin would attend Mahoutokoro or Hogwarts. Considering his brother had gone to Hogwarts a year before, the decision was pretty much made up already. Youngbin was sorted into Ravenclaw, which shocked his family, and given him a moment of being the center of attention. It didn’t last though, not when Youngbin quickly realized being the younger brother of Tae-il Chae comes with high expectations. He didn’t like being compared, didn’t like hearing how he wasn’t as good. All of those quickly alleviate the feeling of neglect, insecurity, and lack of appreciation. His lax and blasé attitude quickly turn into temper, aggression, and lashing out. Whether it was his way of seeking attention or just how Youngbin responds to the criticism, he had no idea.
So far his years at Hogwarts had been nothing special. He kept to himself a lot, instead of amassing connection and networks like his parents wanted. He never considers himself a loner, but with the way he avoids socializing, talking, or making friends in general, yeah, he’s probably a loner. He cuts class, break rules, generally doing whatever he wants without minding the consequences. Not that he needs to worry about consequences when his parents would make sure he won’t be in too big of trouble. At least, to make sure their names wouldn’t be tainted by whatever it was Youngbin’s antics of the week.

HERERP SAMPLE (200 words min.)
“Youngbin-ah, you’re not allowed to sleep!”
His manager’s voice jolted him awake and Youngbin whined. The blinking numbers on the car’s dashboard and the darkness outside told him it was far from morning. Time for normal humans to be asleep, his brain told him, before he started nodding off again. Only to have his manager’s voice pierced through his sleep-deprived haze.
“Your face will get puffy if you sleep, Youngbin-ah!”
“It’s 2 AM, hyung!” he whined. They still have a few more hours of driving left before they reached Seoul. “People should be sleeping at this hour!” He knew his whining is useless, because his manager was technically right. His face will look puffy and bloated thanks to the sodium-filled ramyeon he had eaten just a few hours ago. Which means the makeup artist wouldn’t be happy at all when they had to hide how bloated he will look. Even as a Metamorphmagus, it was easy to alter his facial feature to hide the aftereffect of the previous day. But at the same time, his brain was telling him how bad of an idea that was.
In the end, he didn’t do it. The makeup noona complained, and Youngbin apologized with a playful smile as they worked on putting the hair extensions on his hair. The sun was starting to come out when he finally stepped out on set, clock signaling that it was passed 5 AM. He wasn’t due to shoot his scene for another couple of hours, so he didn’t think he would be running into her the minute he stepped on set. His body froze, and his brain desperately trying to think of something, anything, when all he wanted to do was stalked back to the makeup room and hide, cursing the company’s higher-ups who had forced him to do this in the first place. It might have been a few months, but the breakup still felt fresh and Youngbin was still holding on to that bitterness.
He had been told who will be staring in the drama. He knew he will have to do a few scenes with Hyemi, and Youngbin had been dreading it, losing sleep over the thought of running into her on set. And now she was standing in front of him, looking at him like she hadn’t completely ripped his heart just months ago. Gritting his teeth and clenching his jaw he bowed, like what was expected from a rookie actor towards their senior. “Seonbae-nim, 안녕하십니까,” (good morning) he greeted, fist instinctively clenching. “I’ll be shooting with you today. 열심히 일하겠습니다!” (I’ll work hard).
